After a failed FET with a PGT-A tested embryo, we've done the Emma/Alice/ERA tests. ERA was all fine, as was a hysteroscopy - so nothing wrong with structure or timings which is good. My NK cell results seem pretty marginal, but we're looking at immune treatment. The thing I'm most worried about is the Emma test, where I had 0% lactobacillus. The treatment plan is 7 days antibiotics followed by vaginal probiotics. I've been taking an oral probiotic, and also had previous antibiotic treatment for bacterial vaginoisis, plus 2 rounds of vaginal probiotics recently so I'm worried that treatment isn't going to work. Has anyone had any success following antibiotic treatment after an Emma test?
We've got one embryo left, it just feels like our chances are getting smaller and smaller.

I had very low lactobacillus too which showed up on the Emma.. I took the antibiotics suggested by the lab and had a repeat Emma (free with the lab if they recommend a retest, you should just have to pay whoever is taking the biopsy whatever their fee is) which showed that the treatment had worked.K
Yes! I had 34% lactobacillus. I did one round of antibiotics followed by one round of probiotics, which didn’t work. So I then did a month of treatment - different antibiotics for a week, probiotics for a week, antibiotics for another week followed by probiotics for 10 days. I also took oral probiotics for around 20 days alongside the last round of vaginal probiotics. After that my lactobacillus went up to 75% and I fell pregnant immediately.
Hi, they were prescribed based on the bacteria present I believe. I can’t remember what they were now, but your doctor will advise which are best to take.
I changed antibiotics because it didn’t work the first time around.
Hi Simmokt. I have heard quite a few success stories about the use of probiotics, so I feel it is worth trying. All I can do is to wish you huge luck if you do decide, and of course for success. Diane
