Bloating

Hi all. So embryo transfer was yday, they said out of the 3 eggs, 2 were top grade and the other they wanted to keep an eye on it until today and then hopefully freeze. Transfer went well, but I am still having massive problems with bloating. I mentioned this to consultant and they said it’s normal and to just drink plenty of water. I’m really struggling though, it’s so uncomfortable does anyone have any tips at all? It feels like I’m constipated (TMI!) but I know I’m not. Any help gratefully received!! 🥰

Ow I’ve seen a lot of this lately! It is normal after egg collection, and it’s important to keep hydrated. After mine, I was told to drink 3L of water and 1L of milk, and eat a protein diet little and often. I developed OHSS when I got a positive test, and was told to increase my fluids to 4L of water a day. It’s uncomfortable but try to keep drinking xx

I’m on my second litre 😂 they were concerned about OHSS due to the high doseage of my injections as I just wasn’t taking to them but I think they’ve said that’s not an issue now. Who knows! I guess just keep drinking the water! Thank you 😊 xx

Hi RachelGen. Make sure you drink at least 3L of water a day and watch your urine output - lots and pale. Don't get constipated as poo passing sore ovares can "ouch"! You can take paracetamol, unless you have been prescribed something else, and have a little rest. but not all the time. If your urine output goes down and you become breathless, then you need to be seen. Good luck! Diane
