Hi I'm 7 weeks and have had the worst pains in my upper abdomen, it feels like trapped wind but it's so painful I'm struggling to move about or sleep. Has anyone else had something similar or can offer any advice?
Thank you x

If ur worried contact the hospital hopefully all is well and it's just trapped wind xo
did you have a fresh cycle? Any signs of OHSS? Constipation and wind is also common in pregnancy... Drink plenty of water too.
have you had your early scan and been discharged by the clinic? If so, you'll be under the care of your GP/hospital now so if you are worried, ring them or the EPU if its that bad.
Hi Se99. I think I remember that you had some sort of a sickness bug last week?? Could just be the remnants of that. Hopefully you will be reassured on Thursday. Thinking of you. Diane
Thank you Diane, I've been in today and have two large hematomas which is causing all the pain, I'm back in Tuesday to see the consultant. Any advice on how to manage the pain or heal quicker would be helpful x
Hi Se99. So sorry to hear this. Where exactly are the haematomas, and what caused them?? I can only suggest that you take regular paracetamol for now, but if you could "fill me in a little" perhaps I can help further. Diane
I have one at the side of my uterus and one above in Douglas pockets? It's from my egg collection but hadn't been picked up until now. My consultant is reviewing my case today and is seeing me on Tuesday but I've been told there isn't much that can be done, just a waiting game. Glad to finally get some answers on why I've been so poorly anyway
Hi Se99. You poor thing - no wonder you are so sore! As the medics have said, you will have to wait for the haematomas to break down and re-absorb on their own - which they will. The Pouch of Douglas in an area behind your womb that allows for womb growth during pregnancy. All this won't have any effect on little one - just you, so try not to worry. I would keep up with drinking water for a bit, until you get seen again next week. rest when you can too. Thinking of you, and do let me know how you get on if you can. Diane
Hi Se99- I had a large haematoma next to where the sac had implanted, I had to go back every two weeks to keep an eye on it but by week 9 it had completely gone make sure you've plenty of rest and really take it easy! X
