I’ve just had another failed IVF transfer in the journey to baby number 2 (2 chemical pregnancies and one failed transfer), and I’m still cramping and have lower back pain 3 days after my period has stopped.
Anyone else experienced this or have any idea what it could be? We have male factor infertility so nothing my side, but could there be something wrong that is making my transfers fail? The pain isn’t bad, but just constantly there and I’m not sure what it could be.

Hi SM. So sorry to hear that your current cycle has now failed, and I hope you've got plenty of support just now. It could be that the pain is from an ovary still being a bit active. make sure you don't get constipated, as tht can cause back pain. Make sure you drink plenty of water too, just in case you have a urine infection rewing. You could ask whether using low dose aspirin or heparin might help next time, so as to hopefully prevent any clot formation in your womb lining and ensure good blood flow. Thinkinking of you. Diane
Thanks Diane. I was on blood thinning injections for my last cycle but no luck! 6 embryos in the freezer though so we’re not out of the game just yet 😊
I have my follow up consultation today, but the pain isn’t getting any better in both my lower back and stomach, so no clue what it is! I will mention it to my consultant and see what he says. More tests, more money no doubt!
