I've made it through the crucial stages of my first IVF cycle, with just one viable embryo. Today was my 2 day transfer. I was super positive and, whilst the procedure wasn't the most comfortable, I've been feeling good and relaxing comfortably all day.
But as the day had gone on, I've had more and more stomach cramps and have now just had a horrible bought of diarrhea. I'm now panicking that this is a bad sign... I can't find anywhere that reads it should be expected, but maybe it is? Has anyone else experienced?
I'll be calling the nurse in the morning, but hollering here just in case anyone can calm my nerves before bed.

Hi! I had a 5 day embryo transfer on Monday and today is Thursday and I’ve had bad diarrhea and cramps for the last two days. I’m not sure if it’s connected to the transfer or implantation or if my body has just been through alot.
I had it about 2 days after transfer on my first cycle. Just for a few hours and then I was fine again. Not sure if body getting used to progesterone, or the embie or something else entirely. I got a BFP though so didn’t impact my cycle.
Hi! Unfortunately no BFP this time. Haven't had my follow up yet, but guess it's just all part of the game of chance. I did everything I feel I could have done, but want meant to be this time. On to the next round! Every journey is so unique, it's so difficult not to read into symptoms and compare. But just do what's comfortable and feels right for you. That's all you can do!
I’m so sorry to hear that. Yes definitely onto the next round!! Thank you so much, best of luck to you for your next round! X
Don’t panic - the round I had my BfP (didn’t work out later but for other reasons) I had terrible diarrhoea and cramping for 2 days after ET! Made no difference - if anything it was good news! Good luck x
