Heavy periods after failed IVF

Hi everyone! I had a round of IVF in December 2020 which failed & then again in April 2021 which failed. Since April, I had my first period & I had a second period and then after my second period I have come on again just 10 days later, I’ve had severe cramping like never before and I’m heaving bleeding now on day 5 of this period...is this just hormones come out of the body? Any advice from anyone? Thank you

IVF seems to do weird things to your cycle - I used to be every 28 days, bled for 5, no heavy bleed.

Started IVF my cycle went to 26/27 days, bled for only 3 days. Day 1 or 2 was really heavy to the point that even my knickers would get covered as I used pads.

If you’ve only just done ivf in April it may take a couple of months for your cycle to calm down.

You could contact the nurses at your clinic and ask advise, they will be more accurate with what the recommend as they will know your history
