ERA- transfer following month

My transfer this month has been cancelled and my estrogen was really high but not reflective in lining. Doctors have decided to go for the ERA and Hysteroscopy due to my precious medical history.

I have had bowel cancer so there worried there could be scar tissue left over.

Does anyone know if it's Ok to just start preparing for the next cycle transfer as soon as I get my period. Dr has said AF will come 5-7 days post test and then will start on the estrogen again to prepare to transfer the cycle? Is this normal or is there any benefit waiting a cycle?

Any advice is very welcome

Yes it is absolutely fine. I did the same, I had hysteroscopy done while I was down regulating for my FET and now we are pregnant. I am really sorry to hear that your transfer been cancelled 😞. I wish you good luck and 🤞❤️🤗

My clinic when they do FET they also put you on down regulation for a month or few weeks to shutdown your hormones completely just like on stimulation and after that you are getting your period as usual and start your standard FET medications. They can control much easier your body and transfer day. Thank you for your wishes 😘😊

They did find something to my surprise, micropolyps that been tested if they are malign. Result came back normal. Doctor told me that probably micropolyps wouldn't have interfered with my pregnancy because of the location where they been found but just like a precaution it was indicated to remove them for my own peace of mind ♥️🤗

Hi, that’s definitely ok - my clinic always said it was a good thing as when you have the Hysteroscopy/ Era you are basically doing a scratch and wash which is good before a FET. Have you asked about Emma and Alice tests at the same time? I didn’t have these but then had a failed FET so had to have the procedure again to do them. If you have the money it makes sense to add them on?

Also just to let you know my Hysteroscopy completely messed with my cycle, I got my period on day 54 in the end. It can happen that you bleed after the procedure and so it takes another cycle to get your bleed. Just wanted to let you know as no one told me that was a risk and I was going crazy waiting to start the FET cycle!

Best of luck xx

Gabriella89 Thank you so much for your message. Yes km have the Era, Emma and Alice as well. Hoping they actually find something that they can fix.

Oh that's interesting I had not been told that at all. I was told AF will start a week later so at least I'm prepared.

We're you able to start straight away when he came on day 52. That must have been so hard waiting. There are always so many delays aren't there.

X

Indigoa isn’t it mad we actually want them to find something! All my results were clear which is really good news but frustrating as it just means my transfer failed for no reason but bad luck! The Hysteroscopy they tell you that day if they can see any issues. The ERA, Emma and Alice took about 2 weeks to get the results back for but definitely depends on your clinic.

Your period will probably start fine the week after but I was annoyed no one told me that if you bleed heavily after the procedure it can mean you have to wait for the next cycle!

My next FET is next Wednesday now. Really nervous as this embryo is a 5 day blastocyst but ungraded so not as good quality as the first one.. just trying to keep positive!

You can continue the transfer the month after unless you have to wait for the results and treatments planning if you have any issues. The doctor usually needs time to look at the results and then you have to wait for 1-2 months more.
