Hello all, after my 4th failed transfer we have decided to do some testing. I had a miscarriage after the third and the rest have never implanted.
In respect of the tests something has come back on them all which felt overwhelming to start but I’m just working through it all now.
the Emma and Alice test showed I needed a weeks worth of antibiotics and then probiotics. They have said a months worth of probiotics but one of the suggested ones stated the dose is to take for 6 days then one a week for 4 weeks. I would have thought I needed them continuously, does anyone have experience with this, what did you take and how long for/dose? . I have to have another biopsy after this to show things are good, did anyone else have this?
Also for the natural killer cells, intralipids and steroids are recommended, again does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks in advance

Morning, I'm afraid I don't have experience with the EMMA and ALICE test but I did have the NK test done. My results came back borderline but they put me on steroids. Steroids have caused insomnia but it's subsided now so I am now sleeping through the night. I also asked for blood thinners too as I saw other women on them and my consultant has prescribed that for me. Hopefully this helps.
Geez I’m so jealous of your insomnia subsiding! I’ve been on steroids (high dose) now for a month and I wake EVERY night without fail at 3am and am wide awake for at least 1.5 hours… it’s torture! How long did it take for the steroids to stop causing insomnia for you?
I already sleep with an eye mask every night and I have no trouble getting to sleep, it’s the waking up bit that drives me insane. I’ll try put a meditation on next time and see if that helps me go back to sleep. Thanks.
Do you mind me asking what dosage of steroids were you having for your successful transfer? My NK is slightly elevated. My doctor only allowed me to use intralipid for last round, which didn’t work
hey, I know your question wasn’t directed to me, but I thought it may help to know I am on 20mg then increase to 25mg. I’m not sure what dose others take? X
Thanks - my NK 50:1 is 24% (ideal value 15%). My consultant doesn’t want to give me steroids (so intralipid only) for the last round which didn’t implant. This time I begged, and they are planning to give me 10mg. I am wondering if this is still too little
Hi. So I have experience with high Anti-TPO levels (not NK cells) but the protocol is same for both I think. So I was on Intralipids a week before the transfer (FET), and prednisone steroids. I kept taking both till 16 weeks of pregnancy. Intralipids were every four weeks. It worked for me after a lot of failed implantations. If any more questions please let me know. All the very best!
