Iv been on 150 iu for 7 day now. I smashed 3 of the glass vials so had none left to use with 3 of the menopur powders i have left. I asked the dr for some more today and she prescribed me the 75 iu instead and told me to take 2 of them.
I asked if i can use the water solution to mix into the 150 menopur i already have but she looked at me like im stupid. My understanding is its the exact same as 2 x 75 anyway.
The dr was very strict in saying leave the 150 and use 2 x 75 menopur but after when i spoke to the nurse she said its ok as they're exactly the same.
Confused! Please advise if im missing anything?

the mixing is i think different depending on the boxes you get, i was used to the 600 menopur and 1200 menpurs.. i had an issue and needed 150 menopur so they gave me two 75 menopur. The instructions with that was one ampule of water for the two poweders even though the boxes came with a water ampule each and a powder. does that make sense?
I was on 300 dose which was 4 ampoules so used 1 water to mix 4 ampoules so I agree 1 water to 2 ampoules makes sense . I would trust the nurse. The doctor will prescribe it but they never mix them up and give the medication that’s what the nurse would do.
I feel your pain Summertime02, those menopur glass vials are so flimsy and easily smashed. I have used Menopur 600ius amd 1200 IUs in the past so when given the 75ius vials, it was such a pain!
Due to the flimsy glass and spilling the contents of one vial, I had to rope DH in for the last cycle.
Anyhoo back to your question, yes the actual medication is the powder so one liquid to 1 or more vials is the said thing. The nurse will be more knowledgeable about the meds.
Thank you all. Really appreciate the comments! I used the 1 vial with the 150 bottle. Also i managed to snap it perfectly, struggle free thanks to the lovely nurse who showed me how to do it.
