Different dose Gonal F vs Menopur

Looking for experiences from ladies who have tried both. My previous cycles have all been Menopur, however we used Gonal F in a very low dose to help my lining on a FET and I recruited a lot of follicles more than I ever did on Menopur. My new cycle I’m going to be doing Gonal F for the first few days and then swapping to Menopur. I’m nervous because doctor is putting me on the same dose for both, but I worry if I respond more to Gonal F the dose will be too high and we’ve never tried it on me at a high dose before. Has anyone tried both and did you respond the same/differently? And did you need a different dose depending which drug?

Not the exact answer to your question but my clinic put me on both simultaneously for my two rounds. A high dose of gonal F from day 2 (375) and then 75 menopur from day 6. I have low AMH/AFC so never going to get many eggs but they got 4 on the first round and 2 on the second. Would they put you on both at the same time or is it one or the other at your clinic? Good luck! Xx

Plan is to do Gonal F for the first few days and then swap to Menopur for the second half of the cycle. I’m just scared over over responding to the Gonal F as I know it’s fine that dose for Menopur.

Hello, I have had a cycle on each & ended up with a similar number of eggs for each. I have never had a combination so I’m afraid I can’t advise you but, I’m sure you’re clinic know best. I would probably give them a ring & explain my concerns. You can never ask too many questions.x Good luck.x

Thank you. Did you have the same dose for both?

I think they changed my dose of Menopur due to hyper stimulation after the first round so slightly different circumstances I’m afraid. Still hrperstimulated on Menopur too. I guess everyone’s medication & reactions to it vary which is not very helpful.x Definitely worth a call to them.x

That’s an incredibly low dose, was it combined with another drug or just 50iu of Gonal F?
