Taking painkiller

Please can someone tell me if it’s safe taking painkillers when on stimulation injection, am taking Puregon and i have been getting unbearable headache 🤕 and backache,? I was thinking of take paracetamol but not even sure and

Hi I was advised by my clinic I could take paracetamol or co-codamol as I suffered terrible headaches too - they just told me not to take ibuprofen as it masks symptoms of OHSS. Be careful with co-codamol if you do take it as it can cause constipation, which is something I also suffered terribly with!

Thanks alot will use paracetamol ,and thank u for warning me of ibuprofen will definitely keep away from that

My clinic recommends the same - no ibuprofen. Paracetamol/co-codamol is ok

HiI suffer from headaches too. Not a brill combo with IVF!

I was told paracetamol is fine, so I have taken that but definitely no ibuprofen as Gemgem84 has also said.

All painkillers are fine during stimulation, it’s only during pregnancy that only paracetamol is allowed, and in small doses.

Thankx, took some paracetamol , confusing with which to take as the fear of things going wrong is there

I know it’s there but trust me meds don’t affect anything during stimulation. I am pregnant and during the first trimester I took paracetamol as had massive headache and all is fine xx

☺️ now i feel better to hear no effects with any because at first day i took different painkiller before going to paracetamol... and congratulations on your 🤰 .... am so hoping to get there since this my second cycle
