Was just wondering if anyone is taking this supplement and what your experience has been. If your taking it did your clinic recommend it or is it from your own research? Thanks in advance πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Check out some of my posts about this. I had low amh of 4. 6 did some research and decided to take it 3 months before my next cycle and I just had my amh re tested and it has more than doubled to 9. 9.. I don't know why this is and to be honest I just want a bfp now and got so focussed on my amh last time that I am trying to worry less this time. My clinic supported me taking it xx

Wow that's amazing! My AMH is 7. I think I'm going to give it a try. From what I've read it seems to do more good than harm. Best of luck with your next cycle xxx

Am taking it 75mg and my doctor recommended it, am in Germany so had to order it from France. I had extremely low Testarone and DHEA levels. Hoping that it will help all I want is a BFP

Hi Beechnut - good luck with everything, will you let us know how you get on with DHEA? I would like to try it but my consultant did not recommend it due to the side effects. However, if I move on to a third cycle (and I pray I won't have to) then I will definitely give it a try x x x

I've been taking for 6 months-was never my intention to take for that long but the IVF journey has not progressed as quickly as I'd hoped! I would say 3 months is good as it's only around month 5 I started to feel spottier!

I'm doing 25mg 3 times a day & this was mainly my own research & advice on here but clinic have said no problem in taking.

I just turned 45, my amh low. In April at 44, I had no eggs at collection. In November after taking dhea they managed to collect one which reached blastocyst & was frozen grade 8/10.its not a lot but it's more than last time!

Could be coincidence as with different clinic & different regimen this time but I feel it may have helped xxx

Hi I have taken it the side effects that I experienced was unwanted facial hair growth and it did make me feel impatient and snappy. I froze my eggs but I did collect more when I was taking DHEA. It was advised and monitored by my Consultant and he did test my testosterone levels periodically.

After an early miscarriage from my first ivf cycle last year, I read 'It Starts With a the Egg' by Rebecca Fett which advised that with diminished ovarian reserve (which I have), to take DHEA, ubiqinol coq10 and a bunch of other supplements.

I ordered the Micronized pharmaceutical grade DHEA from m Mcphersons Lab in the US and took it from October last year along with the other supplements.

At my treatment plan in December, the clinic said they were happy for me to take them but they offered no monitoring.

However, due to getting quincy a fortnight ago, my ivf was postponed from Jan to Feb and I stopped taking the supplements as I could not swallow.

My throat is getting better now, but do I start taking them again, or have I taken too many already given that I started on October??

As you say, there's conflicting information out there about taking them past 3 months but we do want to give ourselves the best chance!

Hopefully they will do us more good than harm as when we want something so bad we're prepared to try anything.

Good luck with it hun and let us know if you get more information. Xx 😊

I took DHEA during my second cycle. Im not sure what difference it made as I had a few other tweaks there too but my little eggs certainly did better than round 1! Good luck!xx
