I had my BFN on Sunday so stopped all meds as per the clinic recommendations. I’ve come on my period this morning and wow, it’s painful and heavy. I’m almost doubled over and the pain is in my back, front and tops of legs/hips.
Just wondered if it’s normal to have such a painful bleed after stopping meds? I was on progynova, cyclogest and lubion.
Thanks xx

Thank you ☺️ I am used to painful periods but this is next level I wasn’t expecting It! Hot chocolate and biscuits for me this afternoon! Hope you’re ok too xx
I've also had some painful withdrawal bleeds. It was similar to how you describe. Hot water bottle and plenty of pain killer lovely. Hope you feel better soon.xx
Thanks so much. I will feel better soon I’m sure. I think (as weird as it sounds) when you have a bleed after a failed attempt I look at it as a fresh slate and new opportunity xx
Hi yes I had my bleed last week mine was more painful than previous failures not sure why I took strong painkillers and hot water bottle, sending u hugs xxxxx
Sounds like you are doing just the right thing. I was the same. I woke up in the middle of the night on the first day shaking from the pain. I've never had a withdrawal bleed as painful as this one has been. And Ive been on for 5 days. But the pain subsides and as you say, its an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start again!
Take care of yourself and get plenty kitty cuddles xx
I'm so sorry to see your news. The bleed after withdrawal is always awful I think partly as the lining of your womb thickens with the medication so it all has to come out. I hope you are feeling better and don't lose hope. My daughter was a day 3 embryo (my only one all the rest were day 5 blastos) and I got pregnant. It is so hard when everyone else seems to get positive news. I have come off social media for a bit and I feel so much better. Take care of yourself and when you feel ready you will try again. I'm going to take a break for at least 3 months so I can get in a better head space and hopefully restrictions will ease too 🤞 xx
