How long after failed FET for withdrawal bleed?

I had a failed FET Friday morning and stopped meds immediately (progynova and ustrogesten). Last time I took them was Thursday night. How long realistically until withdrawal bleed as I'm very keen to crack on with a new treatment plan. I'm a first timer so a bit of a novice. The waiting is the worst! Xx

I think it’s really going to depend how much progesterone support you were on - my first cycle with just cyclogest pesseries I started spotting before OTD and then AF arrived in full flow around 3 days after stopping meds and it was just like a normal period. However my cycle was around 10 days longer than usual that time but I was then able to start down regulation for our next cycle.

This time around I was on insanely high progesterone support (my clinic CRGH maxes out the progesterone as well as blood thinners to stop clots as standard) and it took a week after stopping meds for me to have any bleeding. Have been experiencing intermittent heavy bleeding/cramps and spotting for around 2 weeks now and it’s driving me mad as just want to get through this cycle so I know when we can start out next prep cycle for FET.

The waiting is an absolute killer and it’s impossible to plan ahead when you don’t know when your next day 1 will be. I’m a total organiser so find this part incredibly difficult because until AF arrives and you can pin down your next ovulation (that’s what was hugely delayed for me) then you can’t plan with any certainty when you’ll be able to start your next cycle.

We ended up having a clash with our second transfer over Glasto weekend which caused a few logistical issues for my hubby 🤦🏻‍♀️ but you can’t stop planning things otherwise you’ll go crazy. You just have to accept that plans might have to change last minute. We’ve still booked holidays and weekends away over the next few months despite our upcoming FET as there will always be a way to work around things or you just have to cancel last minute which is super frustrating but we realised if we didn’t approach it that way we’d literally have done nothing all year just in case it clashed with treatment!

I have been on the same medications and it is usually 2 to 5 days. The advice I have been given and again the advice can vary so this isn't concrete and does depend on you too, but you have the withdrawal bleed, then some like you to wait to have at least one 'natural' cycle and some say 2 but again speak to your consultant.

Sorry about you unsuccessful FET.
