Just back from my second scan - my lining is still too thin at 7.2mm on day14
I'm waiting for a call from the clinic to see whether they will add anything in and keep me going a bit longer or abandon this cycle and start again with a stronger drug process
Anyone know why linings dont thicken up? And I thought the FET part would be the easiest part of this journey! x

Hello unfortunately I had a abandoned FET due to thin lining but my clinic want anything 7mm or over mine was 6.6mm so annoying that was on pragnova but before my egg retrieval they seen my lining got really thick on stim drugs so I done a stim FET and I am currently 7 weeks pregnant it’s so annoying having to cancel a cycle but you want the best chance of it working good luck hopefully they give you a few extra days if they do try drink three cups of tea rasp tea and go walks etc xx
It's so tough, like you said the FET process is meant to be the easy bit! Have the clinic said what they want your lining to be? I have had 3 FETs cancelled due to thin lining and on my latest one I did a natural FET and I got to 7.4mm and they gave me the go ahead for transfer. I'm now 12 weeks pregnant. My clinic wanted it between 7 & 8mm. Hopefully with a few more days you'll be OK or they can look at a different protocol next time. I know it's frustrating when you're so close but it really is worth making sure everything is as good as it can be xx
They've said a minimum of 8mm but would like 9mm ideally. I've heard back from the clinic and the doctors are happy for me to continue on the increased progynova and back on Monday for a scan again.
But yes, my little embryos are too precious to risk so if Im not ready then I will just accept that and try a different protocol. xx
My clinic wanted an ideal measurement of 9mm. I could never get there and they relented and said over 7mm with a good quality they would consider (triple lined). I started drinking raspberry leaf tea in prep for my FET's (2-3 cups a day hot or cold) and my lining has steadily gotten better. On my last cycle I also took raspberry leaf tea supplements and my lining was the best it has ever been. I also usually take vit E. However they did have to play around with my medication to see what dose of estrogen I responded to a couple of times before I added in the extras. Good luck, its massively frustrating and completely sympathise.xx
Thanks Cinderella. Yes Im glugging the raspberry leaf tea and I have also booked in acupuncture tomorrow. My clinic also wants 9mm ideally but have said I should be aiming for 8mm minimum. I'm back on Monday for another scan so hopefully can grow my lining more over the weekend xx
Hi 🙋♀️ im doing a FET and day 10 my lining is 7.4 and theyv given me the go ahead , he said it was triple layer, on Tuesday it was 5.6 so I started having the brazil nuts pom juice and daily light walks im not sure if that helped x perhaps they have a different criteria maybe they can explain a bit more what they are looking for? I know with some ppl they increase the progynova if too thin xwish you luck on that journey hun x
Hi there xx Yes I increased progynova after my scan on Wednesday which was 6.6. But since then at the advice of the lovely ladies here I have been glugging pomegranate juice, rapsberry leaf tea, brazil nuts, hot water bottle.
I think the missing ingredient so far is gentle walks so will plan some of those over the weekend
Hi HemBella, I hope you're all good. Do you know what the outcome was of your scan? I am in exactly the same position as you, currently on 3 progynova tablets twice a day but I'm wondering if that's not enough.. I've got another week to increase my lining up to a minimum of 8 otherwise my cycle will get cancelled... x
Unfortunately I found out yesterday that my lining still didn’t thicken up enough so my cycle has been canceled. They had increased my progynova to 4 a day after my day 12 scan (I was on 1 tablet 3 times a day) but I think it was too late to really make a difference. Sounds like your dosage is higher than mine so hopefully you will have more success.
