When did you do another transfer after miscarriage?

Dear all,

I finally got my period after a painful miscarriage. Now I want to start again. My doctor would prefer for me to wait for another period, but he said I can try again now if I want, which is what I want to do.

Is this advisable?

Has anyone had any luck with an FET after waiting for just one period after a miscarriage?

My doctor actually advised me to do it right away. Had miscarriage 9/13 with FET, then got my period and started FET process with that cycle. He said the miscarriage creates a better environment in the uterus for the embryo to attach, because it’s been through a “trauma” making the uterus not as smooth. Had FET today, so here’s hoping!

I had the transfer today so it will be at least 2 weeks before I can test.

Oh, I was only 5 weeks with the miscarriage. The doctor said he wanted to wait for my HCG to come back to negative levels before proceeding. I got blood tested every 5-7 days to check, it took almost 2 weeks but once it came back negative he started me on BCP. I did get a full period when I stoped the BCP though and started the estrogen which did not happen with the first 2 FETs I think this contributed to it taking longer for my lining to thicken to 8cm. Took an extra week but finally got there.

I personally wanted to do it right away - first cycle - lining was too thin. Second cycle - I’m pushing for a transfer
