Period after Miscarriage

Hi everyone! My 2nd frozen transfer unfortunately ended in miscarriage at around 7 weeks. We went for the viability scan and although there was a sac unfortunately they couldn’t see anything else. We were obviously devastated but after having time to think about it all and looking on the positive side I am glad we got 1 step further and I know it is possible for me to get pregnant! I just wondered when to expect a period. It is now coming up to 8 weeks since my miscarriage and it’s still not here. I know my body will be all over the place but kind of expected it to be here by now?

Hi, sorry to hear about your loss.

I had medical management of a twin mmc in November, it took me over 2 weeks to pass everything and get a negative pregnancy test and then my period came around 4 weeks after that. If it doesn’t come soon perhaps contact your clinic and see what they say xx

I am really sorry to hear about your loss. I hope things get better. Just stay strong and positive. If it has been longer then I would suggest that you visit your doctor. It is important to make sure if everything is alright. Good luck to you. Dont lose hope. Sending baby dust your way.

Thank you for your replies! I also had to have medical management as I had opted for natural however nothing was moving on it’s own. I might give the clinic a phone and see what they are saying can’t do any harm. Thank you! Good luck to you both too! Xxx

Hi lovely sorry to hear you are going through this.

I had my first D&C last year and hadn't gotten my period 8 weeks after. I felt cramping 4 weeks after the D&C but no sign of a period. I mentioned this to my fertility doctor and he suggested a hysterocopy. They found there were adhesions in my cervix canal that were physically preventing my period from coming through.

4 weeks after the hysterocopy my period returned. Perhaps it could be stress but might be worth asking this question.

Take care 💜💜
