Grade 2BB 5 day blast worry?

So transfer will be next Monday 9th. Started progesterone pesseries this evening and will have blood test Friday aft.

My new worry now is our embryo- we have 2 that’s are a grade 2BB. If either survive the thawn which I’m staying positive they will. 1 will be transferred.

My worry is the developing sizing. “2” blastocyst. These are day 5s. Anyone had a grade 2 of any that has resulted in implantation?

Embryologist said not to worry they were good enough to freeze so have a chance. But I just need some reassurance that been small blastocysts isn’t hindering our chances.

Thank you. We had a grade 3BB fresh and didn’t take so trying to see them as the same being of BB quality. But the sizing worries me a little. Xx

I am definitely trying to keep that low. Just think the size might effect it. A lot is said about the AA/AB/BB grading of an embryo but can’t find anything on the size. Thank you for replying. Xx

There is not proven evidence for grading system. Some may get 5aa embryo but they could be abnormal. They only know chance is better for higher grade. There’s no evidence. Stay calm and hope it sticks xxx

it’s difficult as a 2BB on day 5 is probably going to be a 5BB on day 6 but they can’t transfer in day 6 as it reduces the success rates (it needs to go back in on day 5)

If the embryologist is confident I’d go with their recommendation

Sorry to jump on here. If the embryo is froze and is defrosted does that make it a day 6 and therefore less likely to implant? I have a 3bb frozen on day 6 so it will be day 7 when it’s finally defrosted. Does that mean it’s less likely to work because of the amount of time it’s been outside of me?

My understanding is it will be a day 6bb on defrost. But I know grades can change on defrost. My will be deforsted in the morning.

I’ve not heard anything about not transferring a day 6 as some clinics leave them to day 6 to see how they develop a little longer. But I could be a little wrong. Xx

A day 6 has just a good a success rate as a day 5 BUT it HAS to be frozen and then transferred 5 days post ovulation as if it were a day 5

They usually thaw them just a couple of hours before transfer so a day 6 doesn’t become a day 7 when it’s thawed
