So I had my trigger shot on Friday and started the dreaded pessaries this morning. All being well i should have my 4th and final transfer on Friday lunchtime. We have one frozen 6 day blast remaining, I'm not sure of the grading but I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with a 6 day blast? Starting to feel quite anxious about it all. Also is anyone else transferring on 23rd Feb?Thank you 😊

Success with a day 6 blast?
Hi Duardo19, I'm transferring on the 22nd. Our plan is to use our last remaining day 5 embryo. We have another day 6 in the freezer after this one. While I don't have a personal story of positivity, I was told if it is good enough to freeze it is good enough to make a baby. Best of luck and keep in touch x
Hey WillowPark, I've not heard it put like that before. Thank you!! I guess that makes sense, just need to hope it survives the thawing process now, if it's not one thing to worry about its something else. Wishing you the very best of luck for your transfer, definitely keep in touch, everything crossed this is your time x
all my day 5 blasts didn’t take but my day 6s did. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks with my first fet (day 6 blast - double transfer but single pregnancy) and my second day 6 blast fet is now 9 months old and quite impressively threw his lunchtime pear in the log basket from a fair distance.
He was graded not brilliantly but the embryologists kept saying if the embryo is good enough to freeze, good enough to become a baby. They really don’t freeze anything they don’t think stands a chance.
Our consultant said that the percentages they give you are just a guess and if they stick, they have as good a chance as any.
Best of luck!
All my embryos were day 6 - my last and lowest graded day 6 embryo is sleeping next to be now. Don’t lose hope x
sorry don’t have any advice on a day 6 blast. But just wanted to wish you lots of luck for your transfer. I have day10 lining scan tomorrow. So shouldn’t be far behind transfer wise.
Try to remain positive. My clinic also say that they never freeze any embryo if they didn’t believe it could result in a live birth.
All the best x
I did 3 transfers with a day 5 and they didn’t work, my last transfer was a day 6 + a day 7 and now I’m 15 weeks pregnant with twins
Day 5 and 6 blasts are typically just fine. I'm 11 weeks along following our first transfer (day 6 blast 5CB)
I had success with a 6-day blast. I had one 5 day and one six say and another one which had not really matured not sure what they called it. They put back the three and I had fraternal twin girls. So, I think it may have been the day 6 and day 5 that worked. Good luck with your transfer.
Hello currently 31+4 with my frozen 6 day embryo so yes it can work. Wish you all the best for your transfer 🤞🏽🙏🏽
I had 6 transfers with day 5 blastocyst and no success. The 7th transfer with 2 day 6 blastocysts gave us our beautiful baby girl, 4 months old next week 🥰 best of luck!!!
I am 14 weeks pregnant with a frozen 6 day blastocyst (5AB) 🥰
My sister had no success with day 5, but day 6 blast is now a 9 month old beautiful boy!
Our day 5 didn’t take but our day 6 is now 9 months old. Wishing you all the best for your transfer. Xxx
Please don't worry about it being day 6! I think I read somewhere that baby girls can end up being day 6 blastocysts more often... there is a bias in IVF for having boys because they are transferred typically on day 5! (I couldn't recite the exact reason etc - just something like that!)... so try to stay calm
Duardo19 I wish you the very best ! I didn't have day6 but had day 5 blastocyst. I will be thinking of you ❤️
I am sending you lots of prayers and support. I too am transferring on the 23rd in the States. May God grant you the desires of your heart!
