day 6 vs day 5 blasts for FET

hi all, sorry for posting so much - just making plans for future FET.

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of or experience with day 6 blasts in FET’s?

Do they have same success as day 5 blasts?

I have 2 x 5BB day 6 blasts and wondering if they are still as viable as day 5’s. And if anyone has had success with day 6’s following FET.

Gosh, 21 questions - sorry!

Many thanks xx

Maybe you should ask your clinic /embryologist to explain this to you and the success rates

Good luck with future treatment

hi

My clinic and others have said that all embryos that are frozen are frozen because they are good and have the potential to be successful

Unfortunately my day 6 didn't work for me, but it doesn't mean yours won't,

I agree with below and speak with your clinic,

Wish you lots of luck

Hey, I don't have experience of transferring day 6s yet. Hoping to double transfer 2 x day 6 in January. I just wanted to let you know there is a post with ladies who have had success with them if you type in the search box day 6 embryos it should come up. It gave me hope. Good luck 🤞 xx

I was exactly the same, loved reading other people’s success stories. It helped me stay positive 😊 We had an awful first round (nothing to transfer, terrible response to medications) two blastocysts on our second round, first was a 5 day and didn’t work, despite being great quality. After three years of trying, two rounds of IVF we were blessed with our son. 8 months later, I fell pregnant naturally with our second son. We were bracing ourself for using donor eggs or adopting, chances seemed so slim that we would get even one. Miracles can happen 😊 Try to stay positive and my biggest tip is do what feels right for you and makes you relaxed. It worked for me when I stopped obsessing and took time for me (exercising, occasional glass of wine, chocolate etc). It is so easy to fall down the rabbit and be completely consumed with the process and all the ‘promises’ online (ridiculously expensive vitamins, diets, plans) xxx

love to hear the success stories. We have 2 day five (3ABs) and 4 day six (4AA, 3AA, 3BB, 3BB). We are doing testing before so hoping we get some normal ones out of this lot! Wishing you all the best!!!

Ooh good luck!! Let me know how you get on with testing. 🙌🏼🤞🏼we have a consultation Wednesday so will decide whether or not to test then. X

We received our report, out of the 6, we have 4 normal and 2 mosaic.

We only have 1 5 day normal a 3AB MALE

We have 3 6 day normal, 3AA,4AA and a 3BB.

We talk to our doctor on Thursday. I think my clinic prefers the 5 day embryo.

Did you decide to test? Wish you the best!

That’s an amazing result! Congrats. Good luck with transfer plans 🙌🏼 we’ve decided to test 4 as one is not suitable for testing. Fingers crossed for us xx
