Hi lovelies,
I am getting up for our next transfer on the 2nd of November, this time around they are doing an immune protocol which includes steroids and clexane injections. Has anyone had any luck with this?
Hi lovelies,

After my first FET failed, and my ERA came back receptive, my doc did the immune protocol with prednisone and lovenox even through I didn’t test for having immune issues. Not sure if it was just by chance, but the second transfer took and i am 22 weeks now. I will say coming off the steroid was tough for me. The steroid seemed to mask my pregnancy symptoms - which was also kind of nerve wracking because I didn’t feel pregnant. But I sure did when weaning off. My RE starting weaning me off the steroids after 10 weeks.
Ah congratulations!! That is great news!! I am using donor eggs and we have had one chemical pregnancy and the other transfer failed, I haven’t tested positive for immune issues but the clinic said it can’t hurt and given my infertility is unknown they said this should help tip it in our favour. Fingers crossed xxxx
I used donor eggs also but it was due to DOR and age. Crossing fingers and toes that it works for you! The failures are so hard to take! Feel free to message me about anything. I learned some tricks with the lovenox injections. I’m guessing what you are taking will also be subcutaneous. Be careful to not go too deep or you will get terrible bruising. I found stomach worked best for me. Also don’t push the fluid out too fast or it will really burn. But overall, they are not bad. My doc kept me on the lovenox through the first trimester.
Hi Debb
I don’t have any immune issues but for my latest (5th) cycle I’ve been put on prednisone 20mg (4 x tablets 4 times a day). And looks like this cycle has worked! I’m 7.5 weeks. Not sure if it’s coincidence or not. From what I’ve heard, there are lots of positive stories with immunosuppressants and clexane.
Good luck, it’s definitely worth trying!
