Hello ladies me and my husband have finally saved enough to have a second go at IVF this time using a FE just wondered how much quicker and what's involved doing it this way instead of a fresh cycle? :-)

Hi. I'm having a FET on Friday.

I have irregular cycles so mine has been a medicated cycle, it meant 5-6 weeks of down regulation and HRT prior to transfer. Since I couldn't start these meds until day 21 the whole process has been just under 3 months.

If you have a regular cycle my understanding is that things are pretty quick as they just go it around when you ovulate but I may be wrong.

Best of luck to you and I hope all goes well xx

Hi I'm on my 2ww now following FET. I have a normal cycle so was given climaval tablet prescription at my appointment on 19jan to take from the 1st day of my period (which actually had just started so began straightaway) I took them for 2week and had a scan last Monday 2Feb which showed my uterus thick enough, I had 2embryos put in last Thursday 5Feb. I'm using cyclogest pessaries since my scan and test day is 19Feb. So considering we went to discuss having a FET on 19jan it's all gone really quick. Wish you all the best and good luck :) Xx

Hi, I had a natural FET following a failed fresh cycle - it was a breeze in comparison! I am lucky as was ovulating regularly, so as kjornsby says, didn't have to do any drugs. All I had to do was the pessaries then was monitored to see when the right time was to put the embryo back. Then had to keep going with the pessaries for several weeks. Felt a million dollars compared to my fresh cycle due to no drugs. I'm now a week away from my due date with a little girl! Would highly recommend FET and natural if possible, as you just feel more like yourself, stronger physically and emotionally. Good luck with it! xxx

Hello I had a medicated FET in October as my doctor believes in always medicating in order to ensure the timing is spot on.

It was a breeze. only issue for me was the buserelin headaches. Otherwise it was all very chilled.

I am now 16 weeks pregnant by the way :-)
