FET dealing with the unknown

Hi (this is my first time posting on a forum but I thought it may help me)

I have previously had 3 failed IUIs and one failed Ivf fresh transfer. During all of these I was put on the progesterone pesseries. Every time these caused me to have painful boobs, headaches and fatigue really badly as well as crazy hormones. During all of these previous treatments I also never made it to the end of the 2ww without starting my period. Now I've just had a FET with embryo glue and I'm 6days into the 2ww, this time the clinic have put me on lubion injections, progynova tablets and progesterone pesseries. I was just wondering if anyone has had all this before? All of my previous symptoms have gone and I feel no symptoms at all apart from some cramping. Can you get your period whilst on this? I want to do a test early in case my body decides for me as normal but I'm so scared of the result. Thanks

Hi, and welcome! 😊 I'm on basically the same as you, progesterone injection PM, pessary in AM, and 3x 2mg estrogen tablets a day. A lot to remember! 😅 I feel pretty symptomless too, apart from some cramping. I'm 7dpt, and I just got my tentative faint BFP today. Best of luck to you!! 🤞🙏 xxxx

Oh wow congratulations!!!! I've got cramping too but that's all. I really want to test but my partner says we need to wait until Saturday, I think being self isolated is adding to the need to test, it's driving me mad! Hence the need to talk to someone about it and stop googling

Thank you! 😊 Yes I totally get it!! I was way too weak, but it's really a foolish thing to do. I tested yesterday it was a BFN. I just broke down crying, I was sure it over over, but clearly just too early! Doh! 😅 No reason to do that to yourself I say! Here's hoping to some great news on Sat!! xx

Yep I had exactly the same as you on my last cycle, previously I’d just been on the pessaries and this is the cycle that worked for me! Was also my first FET.

Sending you lots of good luck and if you are going to test early, use a first response test and don’t be disheartened if it’s not positive, still time!xx

Hi Sarah. Try try try to hold off until Saturday. I'm not on the same meds as you - I'm on Clexane (Enoxaparin), aspirin, and the progesterone pessaries, but can relate to finding it a lot of meds and also being desperate to test, but knowing that I shouldn't (test day Friday). I don't know about the other meds, but you can get your period whilst on the progesterone pessaries (I have). It can also delay your period (I've also had that - played with my mind making me think I was pregnant!). xxx

Thanks I'm still going strong and not testing until Sat. I'm feeling hopeful but the cramping is currently bad, worried that this is still a bad sign. I'll keep you updated

All signs seem to be able to be good or bad. No way of telling unfortunately 🙁

Thank you. I did 3 tests and all came up with dark lines in seconds. I cried a lot
