Contraceptive pill to delay period for frozen transfer

Hi - I've finally got a date for a frozen transfer, but need to take the pill to delay my period in line with the transfer date. I have Maexeni (Ethinylestradiol, Levonorgestrel). I have to take this on the first day of my period.

I've not taken the pill before so don't really know how quick it acts. I thought I had to take it when my period actually starts, but I could have misunderstood and this should be the day I expect my period to start? If I take it once my period has actually started will this be too late?

I assume that when I stop taking it, I will get my period before the 12 day scan for the FET.

Any info or experiences of this appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there I’m on the pill too and was advised to start taking it on the first full day of my period. She explained if my period started lightly on an evening to leave it to the next full day to take it. Hope that helps and good luck with everything x

Ok thanks. That's what I thought initially, but then I confused myself googling and it seemed to day that you couldn't stop a period once it had started. Good luck too x
