Polyp Frozen Embryo Transfer

I have just had my second scan on Day 5 and they have seen a polyp which means I have to do a Frozen embryo transfer. They said they will wait to see if it goes once I have my period but if it doesn’t they will remove it. How long would I have to wait for a frozen embryo transfer?

Ask clinic to explain the timings to you but there will be no need to go through a whole treatment cycle again ,as you already have the embryos .It will involve the monitoring and careful preparation of the lining of your womb Hopefully the polyp seen on scan will be shed when you have your next period If it has to be removed the clinic should explain how soon you can resume treatment

Hope everything goes well - good luck

Depends on size - the clinic will see if it has gone when they scan you after your period

I had to have a polyp removal. For me it was right in the place where they would implant the embryo so it was important. However I had to go the general hospital route for the hysteroscopy. I had to wait roughly 3/4 months for it.

How soon after did you have an FET?

I think you wait a month for the period, and scan the following month to check all okay then have the FET the following month. So just one month in between.

Not what you're looking for?
