2nd period after ivf

I’m looking for some advice, I went through my first cycle a couple of months ago which failed however I had a period last month (my first after ivf) which showed up perfectly on time... I am now 3 days late, I took a test this morning and it came back negative. Did anyone find this happen after ivf? I have absolutely no symptoms of it about to start..

I'm usually as regular as clockwork, but very occasionally my period does randomly show up a week or so late, it's happened about five times in the 3 1/2 years we've been TTC (and probably before that, I just didn't notice!!) I haven't noticed the timing having anything to do with IVF though x

Had my first cycle in July and had to do freeze all, the withdrawal bleed was bang on time. My first natural period was nearly 2 weeks late. I spoke to the nurse at the clinic and she said it's not uncommon for them to go a bit haywire afterwards. Try not to worry too much, you're body has been through a lot. Contact your clinic if you need piece of mind.

After my second EC cycle, my first period appeared as normal and my second period ... was 8 days late! During that extra week, it didn’t even seem like one was due.

As I was planning my 3rd cycle I was tearing my hair out! I was convinced that my body had ‘failed’ again and I was unable to act normal in any way. Depressed, anxious, feeling out of control... it was awful. I don’t wish it on anyone.

But 8 days later it did appear and the change in me was dramatic - we put ourselves through hell with expectations!!

I know telling you to switch off, relax etc, will be pointless - as you are going to be frustrated. But do know that you are not the only one to experience this, and your period will return. You will be okay 👍

Hi Amy1122, the same happened to me, I am always regular to the day and after my first IVF the first period arrived exactly 14 days after EC but the next was 7 days late. I was on progesterone pessaries for the IVF so I put it down to that but there is that little doubt in your head saying what if! It's such a roller coaster of a journey.

Same. The first period always came on time but the 2nd ones were 6 days late.
