2nd period after cancelled cycle

Hey lovely ladies, hope you are well 😊😊

I was just wondering about something again🙈

I had EC 25th January and my cycle was cancelled because we had no fertilisation. My period started 9 days later on the 3rd February.

Im due to start Norethisterone this month on day 16 of my cycle so awaiting for af but no signs yet. If anybody can share experience how your period was after a cancelled cycle? Was it all messed up because of all the hormones?

Mine was a freeze all cycle, and my second period was really late, I didn't even ovulate that month, so my hormones were really messed up think it took about 48 days to start x

OMG 48 days oh nooo hahahha how I'm going to wait so long??? I do think i didn't ovulate as well because i was tracking my ovulation and the tests have just started to get darker so maybe will be 2 weeks late i guess xxxx

I felt like that too at the time! It was so so hard! I was meant to have a FET that month and my LH surge never came 😪😪 so had a scan and I didn't even have a dominant follicle, they said it usual for that to happen as it does take a while for the body to recover! Be patient hun your body needs a bit of time xxxxxx

I know I know hahha but you know how it is. Once you are in the IVF stream yiu just want to go on and on and on untill you reach your dream 🙈🙈😊😊😊 Hope you are well and happy 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Hey, we also had no fertilisation, my egg collection was on 5th feb then my period came on the 15th feb. Xx

I remember seeing your post. I had my follow up last week and I can start my second cycle short protocol again once my period this month starts. And im pretty sure will be a loooong wait. AF is due anytime from now but no symptoms at all so far 🙈🙈🙈🙈

How did your follow up went? Did they answer all your questions? Hope it was a positive appointment and you have a good new plan in place 😊😊😊😊xxx

Yes it went ok thanks x I’m starting back hopefully in April but this time on a higher dose as he wants to push my ovaries more 😩. I’ve got to have another pre op in March when my period decides to show up then. I’ve read that quite a few ladies have late periods on their second time after EC. I’m sure yours will show up soon, but bet you just want to get started again x

Hey, I haven’t had a cancelled cycle but had our first failed FET and came on my period the day after stopped progesterone pessaries. Is this your first cycle? The first period I’ve had this the first day was hell. Not too bad afterwards. The progesterone increases the womb lining and now it all needs to come out ouch! I spoke to my clinic (nhs) and they said it’s a 5 week wait until follow up review and then 3 cycles until second and last nhs funded cycle. Are you private? And sorry to hear your had no fertilised 😔 are you having a review to see what they can improve? Take care. Xx

Hey hey. Sorry for you failed cycle hun the ivf road is so tough ❤

We are with the NHS. We are entitled to 2 fresh ans 2 frozen cycles of we have anything to freeze..

I did my first cycle in January and EC was on 25th pf January. We had our follow up on 5th February withthe consultant and he said it's just happened and he was positive for our second cycle. With slightly increased doses of Menoput hoping for more eggs at EC.

I had a nurse consultation on 26th February, ordered all my meds. So once i get my period this month I can start Norethisterone on day 16 for 10 days, and then start injections hopefully in the first week of April. So now is all up to AF to show 😊😊😊

This will be our second NHS funded cycle so hopefully even if it doesn't work we can freeze some and use the 2 frozen cycles as well.

No we only had our official negative result Sunday and on Monday the fertility clinic said it would be at least next month before we saw the consultant. Wow yours is so fast! Our ccg recommends waiting 3 period cycles before restarting any ivf to let your body get back to normal. It’s so unfair isn’t it that we have to go through all this it’s been the biggest emotional rollercoaster ever been on it’s been so hard at low points. I think it’s so exiting when it’s happening but so hard afterwards. That’s brilliant that he was positive and they have an idea of what to do next I’m glad to hear that. Definitely fingers crossed for some to freeze hey it’s so hard not to even get any to freeze. Keep me updated and take care xxx

Mine at first said book your consultation for middle of March and i changed my face straight away and he turned and said alright alright book it for February ahhaha

Seriosly i can't focus on anything im just thinking about ivf, wanna talk about ivf only and i want to try and try and try till i finally get pregnant.

It's so so hard and i feel so so lonely God so lonely! All these friend's announcements and lovely baby's photos and videos omg i can't coop with them. Im walking every day with a massive smile on my face, chatting around helping with people's babies, getting presents but God its so so so hard!

Really not fair we have to go through all thay hun. But we are strong and we deserve the best like everybody else! Soon will be our turn and it will be amazing!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Hey after my fresh cycle my periods changed to a 5 week cycle, I'm currently waiting for my 2nd period too after our failed FET, but it's shaping up to be another 5 week 1......I think unfortunately ivf can change things permanently, hopefully it'll not be too long for u, good luck for ur next cycle xox

I'm pretty sure my hormones are all over the place. Gained some weight, I have a very increased appetite still hahha and thr ovulation strips are one day lighter the next day darker and then lighter again... Madness 🤣

Hopefully AF won't be very long for both of us. Fingers crossed will show up by the end of This week 😊😊😊xxx

I am permentately hungry!!!! I have gained 15lbs throughout the whole of this first ivf process and I swear I am not myself at all! So glad to see others like this. Xx
