I am constantly working towards helping my body to ovulate with diet, supplements, meditation, acupuncture, chinese herbs.. I ovulate very rarely and just this month that I can’t try to conceive because of my Rubella vaccination, I get this strong line on an ovulation test naturally... and I am meant to start Clomid next month... why!!!

Hi hun, that's a good sign your body is in a healthier place, try to look at it that way too! Also, I'm not saying to defy medical advice, but the MMR is such a widespread vaccine, lots of people have been given it inadvertantly while pregnant or shortly before and there isn't actually any evidence of risk or harm as far as I'm aware. I had to get my Rubella re-done last year as well, and due to the evidence we just kept trying xx

I really feel like I’m missing a chance! What if this is the perfect egg! But at the same time I would never forgive myself if anything happened. So hard having to make these kinds of decisions x

Totally understand how you feel, I almost never get positives either xx

You have Pcos too right? Did Clomid and Letrozole help you to ovulate?

Yes I do. I ovulated consistently on 100mg of Clomid (50mg didn't work), and ovulated on the lowest dose of Letrozole also. Unfortunately no pregnancies on those, but we also have male factor xx

That's good, but also a difficult decision! This path never runs smooth. What are the risks of getting pregnant when you've had the Rubella vaccine (sorry - this isn't something I know a lot about)?

Obv vaccines are a different matter, but there's always risks when TTC..... and a never ending list of things you can and can't do. Sigh. Make the best decision for you. A lot of this seems down to luck and watching my friends with unhealthy lifestyles get pregnant.... I would say you're doing everything you can. xxxxx

I was recommended by the Gp and my clinic to wait a month, so I guess I will have to follow the advice. If something happened I wouldn’t forgive myself, I would also be extra worried that something isn’t right. So I’ll wait and pray that it will happen again next month!

Oh Sod’s law!! But definitely the right thing to avoid pregnancy after rubella vaccine. Rubella is so dangerous to a baby, especially in the first 12 weeks. Not worth the risk. And at least you’ll be immune now for the future. Hopefully next month will be even better 🤞🤞
