Really sore and swollen boobs day after ovulation - is it normal?

I’m definitely not pregnant...but every month the day after I ovulate my boobs get so sore and swollen and it lasts until I come on my period. Is this normal to get such sore boobs or is this a sign of too much or too little of a hormone or vitamin??

I've had this a few times recently and wondered if it meant I ovulated as I know I didn't for ages as my progesterone levels were through the floor. Interested to know if anyone knows what this might be! Interestingly I didn't have any pms symptoms this month - I sometimes get really crazy sad over nothing, am convinced I'll be miserable forever - then a day later I come on and I'm fine! X

I get most months a day after ovulation for me it’s a sign I’ve ovulated! Most of the time it goes after ovulation . But on a few occasions had very sore & bigger boobs from ovulation to next period 😂 one time it was the first sign I had conceived ( I miscarried at 4.5 weeks)I’d be interested to hear what causes it except a pregnancy. xoxo

Thanks for your reply’s. Yes I think it’s either a sign something either hormones or vitamins are not right, or maybe because I haven’t been right for so long this is normal and how it should be!? I really don’t know. I guess I could go to the doctors and ask them but what would they do to find out??

Yes I get it now and then - a GP said that it was a sign of successful ovulation but some ppl don’t get anything at all xx

I’ve googled signs of low and high progesterone and both say breast tenderness/swelling!? I useto to get tenderness closer to when I was due on my period but it’s strange why I’m getting it literally the day after ovulation now, I’ve had this for about 5 months now.
