Does anyone know why Pregnacare vitamins shouldn't be taken if you have a thyroid condition? I've just noticed this written on the packet. I was taking the pre-conception ones for years and just recently switched to the ones for pregnancy this week. I've noticed it says this on the packets for both.
I had a TSH level of 3.8 a few months ago and my clinic put me on Levothroyxine to bring it down to below 2 prior to my FET, which was successful.
Thanks in advance xxx

I think the main issue is that you shouldn’t take the thyroxine and vitamins at the same time of day as it can effect the absorption of the thyroxine. I take my thyroxine first thing in the morning and my vitamins in the evening and my TSH levels seem to be good at that.
Thanks for replying Kseye. I wish they’d say that rather than ‘do not take at all’, I’ll check with my clinic tomorrow just to be safe. Thanks again! Xx
My clinic have said that there isn’t a problem with taking levothyroxine and pregnacare vitamins together. They advised me to take them both in the morning xxx
Hello, I agree with kseye. I have an under active thyroid and have been on Levothyroxine since Jan. I have had my bloods tested every 6-7 weeks and thyroid is normal and have been taking Pregnacare pretty much every day this year too.
I take Levothyroxine in the morning and wait 45mins before having tea and breakfast and I take Pregnacare after dinner
I have mentioned both to my fertility clinic and they have not mentioned any issues to me xx
I have hashimoto's and have been TTC for 6 years so have been taking levo for about 4 years and folic acid for about 6 years too. Always take levo on the morning then wait 30 mins before I eat it drink anything. Take folic acid on a night before bed xx
