Pregnacare max when on blood thinners

Hello everyone,Question about vitamins after embryo transfer!

Had my second embryo transfer few days back and I've been taking PREGNACARE MAX, which I have just realised it says I should not take them if I'm on blood thinners (I'm on Arovi), has anyone took pregnacare max while on blood thinners and been told by the doctor it's not a problem?

Hi. There is a warning for a reason. Check with your pharmacist. Make sure you’re taking Folic acid and Vitamin D tablets daily. Diane

I was completely unaware of this, I've been taking Pregnacare max for over a year! I'm on Inhixa (enoxaparin) and checked the specific interaction online, there's no specific interaction know. I think the concern is Vitamin K helps blood clot. But certain fruit juices stop Vitamin K working. If you eat alot of green leafy veg, chickpeas etc. You'll get even more Vitamin K. Personally I'd balance against diet. If you eat lots of Vitamin K daily and take pregnacare max there could be issues if there's a known interaction with your type of blood thinner. Best wishes x

I take cytoplan pregna plan and omega 3.

I also have clexane for transfers. I’m a nurse and I asked our pharmacist if I could take omega 3 with clexane and he said yes.

im on clexane and I had no idea you couldnt take it? Just did some research and lots of women have taken both at the same time! I may have a look around for different ones

Hi. It’s ok. I did this as I was on blood thinners and on pregnacare. I did ivf and all patients over 35 go on blood thinners. My consultant and nurse said it was absolutely fine.

I am on clexane daily and i take Pregnacare max as well My doctor prescribed it.
