I had the fertility doctor call me today and spoke for an hour he said because of my age 37 my husband is 36 saying we are both young and fit... He said that my husband's karotype was normal everything with me is perfect... Transfer was perfect... lining was perfect... embryo was top quality...He said he puts it down to the embryo being chromosomal abnormal... which I suspect anyway..

We have 4 frozens left 5ab and four 5bb's. I asked alot of questions.. with pgs he said he don't recommend pgs on frozen embryo's because it's risky they can get damaged so it's best on a fresh cycle. Asked about my cervix womb etc he said that is fine and I have carried to term before with a healthy pregnancy so that department is perfect.. obviously had that checked. He mentioned that having a child with my husband is proof it can work because we work... He also said being it implanted first try is a good thing..

So he said for my frozen transfer I will be on different meds... different protocol but will be explained more about that when I go in for fet consultation he has booked me in July incase pandemic is over by then .. but need to phone up sooner if pandemic is over before July and get seen sooner...

Can I ask what meds you guys were on..on your fet that made a difference? and got to live birth did you use baby aspirin? And why?? Xx

Hey! it's really good to hear you sounding positive. Me and my partner reasoned that was our issue and for some reason it made things a little easier for us so I hope that helps you along also.

The frozen transfer process seemed an absolute breeze compared to fresh! We had two scans and I was on buserelin injections from day 21 and cyclogest perserries and progynova from day 14. We didn't use baby aspirin, we did have embryo glue though, just thought £250 is cheaper than paying for a full cycle so just went for it. We had a A class 5 day blastocyst and my lining was above 7mm.

I

had acupuncture the day before transfer, I didn't even watch what I ate that cycle for some reason, just tried to take it as easy as I could. I was also signed off work so didn't worry about that either. Knowing it worked the first time made the thought of getting a second bfp pretty difficult but guess what... we got our bfp... and it stuck. I wish you all the best ❤️ good luck 🍀🤞xxx

Hi Eram12. Sounds like a good consultation! Haven't got to a live birth so can't help you on that front, but adding to or changing up the protocol is a good idea so that you can feel you're moving forward and making positive changes. I've been on aspirin for the last cycle, but no tests were done, this was just because of the missed miscarriage and so they reasoned that potentially enough nutrients and blood may have not been getting to the embryo. All sounds really positive for you..... live birth, implantation, all good news for a future pregnancy and baby. Wishing you all the best. Also interested in other people's answers on this for what made the difference! x
