So yesterday i went for egg collection and like advised i cannot remember a thing about the procedure the staff were lovely thats about all i do remember oh and the cup of tea ide been craving since 6am in the morning.. it was litterally over and done with in an hour or so .... the nurse popped into the room once i was sorted and gave us the news that 7 EGGS had been collected i couldnt belive it and wasnt expecting that ... i thought it was a walk in he park untill i got home and BOOM projectile vomiting everywere ... a lovely side affect of the sedation .... ive never been that sick after a night out on the prosecco.... it was awfull .. 🙈 .... so off to bed i went resting my bloated sicky tummy woke up to a lovely phone call this morning of the embryologist all 7 EGGS have fertalized im in total shock ive already pinched myself to make sure im not dreaming i cant belive it me and DH are over the moon ...... i hope everyone is well ❤️... Xxx

I’m in a lot of pain to be honest but that’s fine as no sign of OHSS. 18 fertilised... all going in the right direction. I think we both deserve a rest day xx

I’ve been reading all your post this morning

My wife and I are currently on day 6 of stims, first follicle scan tomorrow so nervous, I have this awful fear of there been nothing there 🙈

Aww thats lovely thankyou 😊 xx yes its a nerve wrecking time but ule be fine i was exactly the same try and break it all down into little stages and focus on getting past it... its helped me alot... i can remember my first follicle scan and then the nerves on the second 🙈 .... before you know it it will be egg collection wishing you and your wife the very best in luck 🍀🤞🏻 x

Oh do you ill be thinking about you dont worry stacey i know its hard ... the gowns and the marshmallow hats (hairnets) got me through it laughing (i need grow up sometimes) ... the staff are so understanding and I litterally remember the anaesthetist rubbing my hand saying i felt cold looking down at the consultant placing my legs in stirrups then been woken up with a cup of tea ... ule be fine lovely 😊.. keep me posted Xx ❤️

I think it’s very important to have a sense of humour through all this or we would all go nuts so good on u!!

I feel surprisingly fine about it all and feel more relieved that I got this far than anything.

Thankfully my husband is quite good at making me laugh even if I feel like I don’t want to so he keeps me amused 😂

That’s a very good way to look at it in stages as the whole process can seem very overwhelming.

Thankyou im feeling alot better than i was that sedation is by far one of the worst things ive ever experienced it was evil my body didnt like it at all .... hope you are well and your treatments going ok ❤️ xx

I'm good thanks. Finding the down regulation really irritating now, been over 2 weeks now, but I'm back in on Monday for a scan and hopefully I'll be ready to start stims, fingers crossed! Xx
