Quick question - Gonal-F

I think my nerves are starting to get to me. I am starting Gonal-F tomorrow, and I am just trying to remember how often to take it. I think I remember taking it just in the morning. I'm going to give my clinic a call, but I wanted to also check on here! Thanks, guys!! xxx

Mmmm every clinic prob has their own way . Mine is morning and night for two days then night for rest of days after. Best to check before you start 😘

Oh god, I definitely will call them tomorrow then! Why didn't they mention this yesterday at my baseline scan?! I thought I would just look at my schedule and it would be obvious! Sigh. Unnecessary stress, as usual! 😊

Oh yes! My clinic has a portal with a digital calendar and it’s all on it 🤪 they maybe just thought someone else had covered that with you. Check your dose too so you don’t panic when it’s time 😘

We don't have an online thing, I just have a printout. It says the dose, but it doesn't say whether it's morning or evening etc.

I had gonal f in 2016...my drugs have all changed but i chose evening...

Well I should definitely be a good guide as I will JUST have been through it all! 😊 I'm not usually a flustered person like this! IVF is practically changing my personality! Bet I cry over the next few weeks at work whilst I'm on all these drugs. 😁 I've only been at this job a year and they've only known the IVF me. They must think I'm a flaky nutcase!

When I was at Bourn I always did Gonal F between 6-8pm in the evening. If you’re adding in Cetrotide later on that’s normally the morning one but definitely best to ring and check!x

Ahhhh thank you. I will keep that in mind. I think I will also scan it in myself at work and take pictures on my phone so that I have it everywhere!

All my injections have always been evening 7-9pm, both the stim one and any others added in line cetrotide.

Thanks. Have just called them. They have said evening. Phew! Otherwise it would have been a dash back home from work! (Work is way down the list on my priorities! Lol)

You are right! I’ve actually took off work as I’ve Pcos and higher chance to over stimulate. So my clinic are scanning me every other day and I’ve 2.5 hr journey to clinic so working on top of that was a no no for me lol

Mine was once a day 225 anytime I wanted but had to be same time with a two hour gap

I’ve just started it 2 days ago. I’m on 225 iu gonal F plus 150 iu menopur. I take mine both in the morning xx good luck with it

We’ve got to fly out to Prague a week on Saturday. I think egg collection will be 9th March. This is the first time doing it in another country and privately. The last time was through the nhs. Feeling a little scared and I’m all over the place at the moment. Meds are much stronger than last time. I’m just feeling hot constantly with really bad head aches plus crying for no reason.

When will you be having yours collected? Xx

Yup, Gonal-F is fine. I wore a tight skirt today. Not sure if that was a good idea. The bloat/swelling is beginning!

Not looking forward to starting the Cetrotide on Wednesday. I remember that being a much bigger needle! 😁 Thanks for checking in. xxxx
