Wrong dose!

Hi guys. So today is my first day of Gonal F and Buserelin. I’ve been taking Buserelin for the last 2 weeks and today I was meant to half my dose of Buserelin as well as take Gonal F. I’ve done the Gonal F injection but gave myself the full dose of Buserelin instead of half!! I was so focused on getting the Gonal F injection right!! Has anyone else done this? I’m worried it’ll affect how many follicles I’ll have! I’m going to call my clinic on Monday but the weekend if a long time to be worrying! Any advice is much appreciated

Hi Ziggy, does your clinic have an out of office number that you can call? Some clinics are also open on the weekend for egg collection/transfers so you might be able to call tomorrow.

Honestly, one mis-dose is really unlikely to affect anything. At worst it will be like an extra day of downreg without stimming. Talk to your clinic when you can but really don’t worry about it-try to forget about it and enjoy your weekend xx

Thank you! I’ve been really beating myself up about it! I feel so silly, I’m definitely going to give them a call just to reassure myself that everything’s still okay. Thank you again ❤️

Oh it’s so easy to do, especially with a change in dose. I think we’ve all ballsed something up at some point! I found a tick sheet helpful, with doses written on it so I could tick things off as I went. I also recorded where I injected (left or right belly) to keep changing it up Xx

Yes I agree with Purpledoggy, pretty sure one wrong dose won’t do too much damage, worst case you might need to stim an extra day or so. We all make these mistakes so don’t worry! Good luck! x

I did this. Double dosed with synarel spray during down reg and stims - there’s a margin of error they allow for - my clinic said beforehand - do not panic if you accidentally double spray and I did (doh). My cycle was successful and actually I over stimmed. x

There must be one of the doctors or advocates on call. Call the office and the message might guide you on how to reach someone. My doctor gave me her cell phone to text her if I cad a concern.

Hi I'm just starting my second round of gonal f injections and trigger shot hopefully I get to trigger an egg this time , my first time taking gonal f it is really trail and erra to try n get the perfect dose for your body , they started me off soo low I never got a nice egg but I'm collecting my gonal f on Monday and my does is now going to be 75, and they will adjust if need to the doctor and nurses really don't want to overstimulate your eggs so I do think they are being very careful hope this helps you ❤️
