Gonal F and cetrotide side effects?

I'm starting injections soon and i wondered what side effects I should expect from Gonal F and cetrotide (short protocol with PCOS). Thanks xx

Good luck with your treatment plan, it's so exciting that you're nearly there. On my second round of IVF I took the same drugs and had very little side effects, especially compared to Burselin and Menopur which I had on my first attempt, this stuff turned me crazy!

You will probably feel a little bloated and I got a few bruises from the 2 injections a day but other than that I had minimal side effects. Wishing all the best for your treatment and I hope it all goes well for you xx

Thanks Hannah, I'm getting excited/scared as it's now getting so close!! Egg collection provisional date is 3 weeks away.... wow!!!! Thanks for letting me know about side effects. Is cetrotide a really big needle? I keep seeing this mentioned and am a little scared!!! Good luck in your journey xx

Depends how you react to it really hun, but for me gonal and cetriside were far easier to deal with that the menopur I was on this time. I had no emotional outbursts, that came later with the progesterone lol. But bloating and weight gain with the ovaries growing and feeling pretty uncomfortable was about it for those few weeks.

The second injection is a bit fiddly compared to the easy gonal f I will admit, and stings a bit, but no big issue in the grand scheme of things. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Kept telling myself if I get what I want, I'm going to face more than a bloody needle and a bruise lol.
