Hi All, so havent posted on here in over a year... after failed fertilisation previously it has taken me a year to get the courage back to go through this again however in the mean time we have bought a house and I had a promotion at work so the year has gone Incredible quick!!
I am currently on the short protocol and will be going down the ICSI route rather than IVF! I am on day 5 and I have a few folicles the largest been 7mm not sure if that's good or bad as everyone is different I suppose however after last time I cant help but feel like they're not developing well!! I am on 225 gonal f and I have just started the fyremadel tonight!!
However long story short should I apply hot water bottle to my lower stomach or can this stop folicles growing?
I have searched the site before asking but csnt seem to find anything
Thanks in advance xx

Hi sweetie. I have no idea re the hot water bottles.
I had the same as yourself with my first cycle. 2nd cycle was much better. We managed to get to transfer this time. I didn’t put any hot water bottles on my tummy, I just relaxed in the bath, played some music and kept my stress levels to a minimum.
Good luck sweetie. Hopefully one of these lovely ladies on here will be able to shed some light on whether hot water bottle is good for you. Xxx
Hey I am a few days behind you - cycle four.
Don’t use a hot water bottle - I have been advised against it xx
Sounds like you had a positive year after a not so great time. I was told after egg collection you can but not too hot... so would assume now you can. I would ask your clinic though they are the people that can give the best advice.
I remember being told try and keep hot water bottles away from the tummy in the 2ww, but I don't actually know during the drugs phase. I'm always on a better safe than sorry mindset as otherwise its eats you up inside later thinking "should I have done this or that".
I suggest avoid hot baths and hot water bottles or you will find a reason to blame yourself in case something goes wrong! Obviously I hope you have a successful journey this time! x
