hope everyone is okay this evening. So I have decided to start this crazy journey again to give my 4yr old boy a sibling.
As there is a national shortage of the nasal spray drug they have changed my treating to short protocol previously had long but heard there is a greater chance of ovulating and losing eggs? Has anyone heard this too? Trying to stay positive though.
Hopefully starting meds middle of August is anyone else in a similar situation?
Forgot how much of a head f@*k this journey is! Constantly thinking about appointments and scans!
Thanks for reading 💕

Best of luck! X
So many wives tales! Short protocol was actually better for me! Try not to worry, your clinic will monitor you and 🤞🏻 For a sibling. Good luck x
I only ever had short protocols which was recommended due to my age (over 40) My consultant says the theory is that less drugs equals better quality over quantity. If your cycle are regular then a short protocol would work just as well.
Hi Fairytale, wishing you the best of luck. I am in the same situation just had a CP on our last frozen embryo and really wanting to have a sibling for our 3 and half year old. The thoughts of starting from scratch again terrifies me. My gut tells me to go for it (although my age at 42 is not on my side this time) and my OH is not keen. .at least you can say that you tried your best to give your child a sibling. Something I really don't want to regret in years to come. Wishing you the very best it's a brave decision and not easy. Xxx
So sorry to hear about your CP. heart breaking. It was a hard decision to make to start again as it’s a lot of money and emotions but I’ve started it now and there’s no going back. Good luck on your journey xx
We've recently had a natural FET after nearly 5 years as also trying for a sibling. I too had forgotten how consuming it is. I literally did all the old wives tales that I did in my cycle for my daughter so I knew I'd given it my all. Still in shock that we got a BFP and without any drugs for the first time. Closest to conceiving naturally as we could get. Good Luck x
I forgot all the old wives tales! 🙈I did it on my first round but feel more relaxed this time around probably should start eating better been quite bad the last few weeks I am just eating what I want to! 😩
Congratulations on the BFP 💕 when was your transfer? Are you in your 2WW?
It currently doesn't feel real and other than being exhausted it's been okay so far. Waiting until at least our first scan, possibly 12 weeks before we consider telling our daughter. X
Bet it takes a while to sink in. When I do get pregnant again I’m not telling my child for as long as possible as he can’t keep a secret.
I’m hoping my period isn’t late as I’ve got all the dates in my head now. Usually have regular cycle but since I’ve contacted the clinic to start I was late by 8 days! My body playing games with me.
In the same position as also starting again in a few month- with a fresh cycle for a sibling for our nearly 3 year old. We lost both our frozen embryos in the thawing process which was heartbreaking. Best of luck to you xx
