Hi. Can someone please shed some light on CoQ10? Should I be taking it in addition to Pregnacare? And if I should, what dose? Can anyone please also share some success stories where they feel CoQ10 has made a difference to their egg quality. Thanks! Xx

I had didnt take it for long before my egg retrieval but my DR. Did recommend it and say to take at least 600mg. The gummys tend to be around 200mg with two gummies. I would try a brand specifically for fertility patients and they are typically used for heart health. Double check the dosage recommended by your Dr.

I took it in addition to a pregnancy vitamin for a couple of months before my cycle. I was turning 39 and our Dr recommended it. No way of knowing if it made a difference but from 9 mature eggs we got 5 blasts, one of which is now my 6 month old. Really good results for my age I think.

I can't remember the dosage but I remember if I took it on an empty stomach it made me feel sick. Good luck hon xxx

Thank you for the advice! And congratulations on the birth of your baby 🥰.

I think I need to take between 400-600mg per day but I need to confirm that with the specialist xx

I take 400 mg ubiquinol form of coq10 it's more absorbable than normal coq10 (which you can take 600mg)

I saw a big difference in fertilisation between my 1st and 2nd round after taking it xx

Thanks! How long do you need to take it for before you start your cycle? Xx

After a round with 20 eggs and no viable embryos (on PGS), my husband and I took 800mg per day. Next round we also got 20 eggs, but now 4 viable embryos (from 7 blastos). It was our best round.

I am now 13w 5d pregnant 😊

I would take it again!

Oh wow! Congratulations!! Great results you've had. I didn't realise men can take it too. I thought it was just to improve egg quality? Xx

I guess it can also help with sperm quality, that is our main issue!

Yes my husband is also taking it, but 200mg ubiquinol. They say a couple of months before your cycle ideally but really just as soon as you can xx

Hi Lindt. My dr has also recommended taking it. I take 400mg - but I know lots of people take 600mg (non Ubiquinol type) as higher doses are required for fertility. I tried taking 600mg for a while but it upset my stomach so I figured to listen to my body and stick with the highest dose possible that doesn’t give stomach side effects. But that’s just me! Xx

Great, thank you. I'm thinking to start with 400mg but I'll need to confirm with the specialist. How long have you been taking it? Any positive results? Xx

I’ve been taking it for about 2 months so far. No results yet, have just started my second fresh cycle so will know in about a month how many (if any) blasts we have! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Xx

I think to see a good result start 3 months ahead . I did ivfs cycles back to back so the last one had better quality then when I first started so i guess the ubiquinol helped

Dear Lindt

The egg is the biggest cell in our female body apparently, and needs loads of energy to correctly release the 23 chromosomes and accept the 23 from the sperm. Ubiquinol (bioavailable form of Coenzyme-Q10) helps supply the cell with energy. We make It in our cells, but we make less when we get older!

It will definitely help. 400-600mgs day starting 2 months before cycle if possible, but whenever you can 😘 is good, and for hubby’s sperm too. Good luck 🤗🙏

Thank you very much, that makes sense. I've got the 200mg strength so I guess I should be taking 2 tablets per day xx
