CoQ10 💊

Hi girls,

Just have a question about CoQ10.

My DH takes his wellman which has CoQ10 on it but I checked and it’s just 2mg, so I’m wondering if I get this vitamin can he takes it with his wellman or it’s gonna be overdose? How much we need it per day? I’m taking pregnacare everyday and it doesn’t have CoQ10 so I need it as well. Is it ok if we both take it with our vitamins?

Hope you all are ok ❤️xx

Hiya

My hubby I made take wellman and extra dose of cq10. According to the last sperm test he now has super sperm. I laugh as we probably have loads of kids if I wasn’t the broken one.

He was on ginseng, wellman plus his multi vit

Hiya Hun

Am already broke and have tried using my own eggs 3 x all fresh rounds and failed we are about to have our last ever go at lucky number 7.

I had him on 300 mg bought them from Costco 120 pills for 15.00.

Don’t know if it worked but like I said docs said he technically had super sperm which he feels so proud of 😊

Hi Anna00. It's worth a try. As far as I know it won't cause any harm. You can always check with your specialist. Good luck! Diane

Hi DianeArnold. I just been in H&B and they told me it won’t help for fertility! They said it’s for old people who has blood pressure etc they even checked their book and it was nothing for fertility! They also said it more useful for men and won’t do any thing for women. Do you know if it really works? Thanks

Hi Anna00. I must admit I prefer to stick to what we know. There are so many "add ons", we can take, and I'm sure if they were the right thing to do, our specialists would be recommending them. Diane

Hi Anna that's weird - when I asked in my local H&B they asked me what it was for and I said fertility and they directed me to a specific brand. The one I took was Fitness Pharma Q10 100mg. I am not sure if it did anything but our final blastocyst quality was better the 2nd time around. I think it's harmless to take regardless so worth a go. I bought mine in the bogof sale so it was £9.99 for 2 x boxes

Ps. My husband didn't take it though, only me

Hi Lilli, yes that’s so weird! They should give the same info! when I asked, the girl wasn’t sure she said as she knows it’s for old people, she checked the book and it was nothing about fertility then she refers me to the manager, she said he knows all the vitamins and he directed me to fertility section and told me about pregnacare which I already using, then he said even in wellman is just 2mg so it means even men don’t need it for fertility and defo women don’t need it for their fertility, but as you said he said I can take it if I want but my body won’t need it for fertility. I even took a photo to see if it’s the right one or not, it’s 100mg £29 xx

I know you need the ubiquinol form rather than COQ10 form x

Hi Anna00 I recently started taking ubiquinol only 100g a day as it is pretty expensive for a supplement (but not in the scheme of the ivf journey) but ive read and been advised by others on here that ubiquinol is stronger and more easily digestible than COQ10. I've read some ladies take the COQ10 with ubiquinol. Have a read up on it. My h&b asked me why I wanted the ubiquinol and I explained that i had been told it can help with egg quality, I was asked to let them know how I get on with it and let them know if it works xx

I would recommend reading "It starts with an egg". I can't day whether it's worked for me as I haven't started IVf yet but worth a read about different supplements.
