I got a call from the clinic today, still got 8 fertilised eggs, 2 of good quality and the others slower but they will keep.an eye on them - really happy with this and have embryo transfer on wednesday so fingers crossed. My work have been good but we r short staffed and feeling I am going to get thrown in at the deep end if I'm not careful, I work in a busy GP practice, has anyone ever got medical line for a 2 week wait? Worried my GP will think I m daft xx
Sorry, advice again.: I got a call from... - Fertility Network UK
Sorry, advice again.
I would be interested in this too! My current plan was just to take one week off as you can self-certify for one week and I feel like I've bothered the GP enough recently. It's a shame that the doctors at the clinic can't sign us off (as medical professionals)! That would make it all a lot easier.
I did, I ended up having 5 weeks off in the end, I didn't self certify for it, the doctors were very understanding and its the best thing I could of done. The worry about stress impacting our chances just went and I could relax (well as much as you can during a tww!) and concentrate on trying to get my head in a half decent place! Yes you have more time to think but it certainly would of been harder being at work. You need to do what's right for you, everything else can take a back seat, your number one xx all the best β€οΈπ
I got signed off for two weeks sick fro the date of egg collection..I thought that was standard at all clinics ..
If you can get in touch with your clinic I would imagine they will be happy to provide you with a sick note for a couple of weeks π
Check your works policy for ivf leave. I work for a big company and my job is very stressful. Our policy allows time off for appts and 2 continuous weeks of paid leave. I plan to take this during my 2 week wait. Best wishes lovely. Xxd
