I know I have posted about symptoms before and I don't want to sound silly or repetitive but the last week I have felt a loss in symptoms my breasts are not sore at all I don't feel as full as they have been - this and tiredness has really been my only symptom.
I have also starting cramping on and off again I am now 9+4 I had a scan last week and all was ok but it still doesn't put my mind at rest!
I hope someone can shed some light on this!
Thank you π
Emily

Sore breasts and tiredness were also my only symptoms (aside from odd cramps) and then they disappeared last week, when I was 8+3 or thereabouts. I was so terrified I was convinced something terrible had happened. So I went and got a private scan yesterday at 9+2, ready for the worst. Instead I saw the little foetus wriggling about and heard its heart beating away! So it seems symptoms do come and go. If the cramping isn't bad then that sounds like a pregnancy symptom rather than something to worry about. Hope that puts your mind at ease. I feel your pain - I've been so worried so far during this pregnancy and to be honest fear my current chilled out state post scan may only be temporary before I return to panic stations! Seems infertility and the scars it leaves never leave us.
Also, if cold hard statistics reassure you, here is one I keep looking at from the Miscarriage Association's website to calm myself down:
"Research amongst women with a history of recurrent miscarriage has shown that those who saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy had a 78% chance of the pregnancy continuing. It also showed that seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks increased the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that went up to 99.4%.
The numbers may be even more positive for women without previous miscarriages."
Hiya sweetie thanks you so much for your reply and I am so pleased your scan went well ππ. I'm sorry your stressing like me it's so hard isint it! Oh wow those statistics are reassuring thanks for that. I hope everything continues to go well happy and healthy 9 months for the both of us speak soon all the best xxx
Hi Emily, I have been told by two separate midwives and one doctor that it is normal for symptoms to come and go. It is quite scary when they just stop (I had a 4 day grace period at around 8+5) but then they all came back with a vengeance!
Hi. I think it's quite normal for symptoms to come and go but also quite normal that it should worry you given all you've been through to get here. I hope that your mind will soon be at ease so that you may begin to enjoy your pregnancy xx
Hiya thank you for your reply I really do hope so I'm just a nervous wreck I really do want to enjoy it but I'm so anxious it's really taking its toll I also have type one diabetes and have to keep such strict control which is causing a lot of stress. Wishing positive vibes for your 2WW XXXπ
Hiya, im going through exactly the same.. im on day 3 of my sickness feeling having disappeared! I too had a private scan last saturday but im still panicking! Xx
Hiya it's so hard!!! Why do our mind and bodies play these games! So glad you scan went well xx
Oh my god I can relate to this post on so many levels. I'm 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant and I completely freak out if I don't feel any symptoms ( I had some bleeding last weekend). You're definitely not alone ( if that makes you feel any better). I think it's super hard for us ladies when we've fought so hard to get pregnant ( it's almost impossible to enjoy it). I have read that symptoms can come and go. Its like when you have a cough- you don't cough all the time but that's not to say you don't have a cough. Id say to relax and not worry but I know that's impossible. Sure your baby is fine but if you feel concerned about disappearing symptoms you could contact your midwife to reassure you. Mild cramping is normal in the early weeks as the uterus is stretching- it's only worrying if its severe and you have bleeding. All the best with the rest of your pregnancy xoxo
Hiya Jess thanks so much for your reply. Congratulations on your pregnancy. It does make me feel better, thank you. I really is ive been through hell to get here after 3 x ectopics and my anxiety is through the roff at the mo. Yes that does make sense and your right it's just so hard! I just feel like 5/6 days without soreness is to long now. Cramps do come and go and are no where as near as bad than first 6 weeks. Yes I think I will contact and I have a scan booked on Friday so fingers crossed all ok wishing you all the best take care ππ xxx
I am now 9+6 and symptoms have calmed down recently. I did worry at first but feel calmer now as I have new things going on like itchy skin on my boobs and belly where they are stretching and some lower back pain because my boobs and belly have shot up in size!! Literally over night!!
I have had some cramping too and some odd pains, but apparently it's normal??
It's so easy to worry constantly about everything and I am sure I will again start worry about something.
Hope you feel better soon. It would be so nice if we could all relax at some point but this journey doesn't seem to allow that xx
Hiya thank you for your mgs I'm glad I'm not the only one! It's just mentally a struggle as I'm so conscious and worries all the time! Have your boobs starting to hurt again or just the itching now? I did have terrible back pain until a week ago and that has stopped now as well, the cramps I had are not there anymore slight twinges now and again. I do had first midwife app on Wednesday and a scan on Friday so just praying all is ok ππ do you think would be having more signs if something was wrong? X x
It's a constant battle to try and stay calm and stress free and going insane because every pain, bit of trapped wind or any other feeling that our bodies throw at us to cause worry.
My boobs are still a bit sore but slightly less than before. Our bodies are changing so drastically so quickly so bound to be lots of odd things popping up to catch us by surprise. I am trying to adopt the attitude of just going with it and succeed most of the time but still have wobbles.
I really hope you feel better after your midwife appointment and scan. Mine is next Tuesday followed by dating scan in the Thursday.
I am no expert but I think you would have a lot of painful cramps and lots of bleeding if things were wrong but like I say I am no expert and we are all built so differently.
Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy, can't wait to hear how your scan goes xx
Thank you so much for your reply sweetie and your so right!! Yeah I defo think I need to adopt some of your attitude! Just counting down the days until have the scan! Yes I think it's when you hear about MMC that really freaks me out as sometimes no symptoms I hope your appointments go well and I really appreciate your support speak soon π xxx
You have to relax and just trust in your body, stress is the worst thing especially at the early stages. Focus on the end goal maybe buy a little baby gift or something. Soon you will be 12 weeks and every day the symptoms could change but you will be closer to seeing your baby. There can be many hurdles during the 40 weeks it isn't always smooth sailing but it's worth it. Read a book, take a holiday etc just don't torment yourself and manifest a problem that isn't there x
