Hi, hope you are well, we have just had this treatment at the hospital, they have been really supportive, we paid for the endeoscope as an extra to increase our chances, we have tried to get pregnant for two years and nothing I have high prolactin and my partner had a borderline sample, due to my age and low Amh levels they got 7 eggs, 4 took and 3 made it to five days, one was put back in and I am currently 4 weeks, 5 days, our consultant changed depending on when we went however from start to finish they have been great, is this your first try at ivf xx

Hi 👋 that’s wonderful news! Yes it’s my first time at ivf. We are having ICSI due to my husbands 2% low morphology, same here been trying for 2 and half years my amh is good everything else’s is good on my side. We are suffering from unexplained infertility. How old are u btw? Xx

That’s positive then, I am 39 so sadly the clock is not on my side, there were some people slightly older than me xx

I was on the long protocol, baseline scan they just made sure that everything was quiet and nothing was happening, the nurses are so good, did you get referred there or did you choose to go there ?x

in reply toKay1469

It has varied each time I have been who I have seen, they have all been very supportive through, I was really nervous the day of egg collection and they really put my mind at ease, we initially went to have IVF, on the day of egg collection they were concerned about the mobility of the sperm and said if we were to be in with a good chance then we needed to change to ICSI, this came as a massive shock as we had been told by our GP that the sample was fine, sadly it had been misread. wishing you lots of luck xx

Thanks I am sooo nervous of not getting any good quality embryos... even though we got a 4 year old who was successfully conceived naturally only took 8 months. It’s crazy how things can change😐xxx. And thanks

Can I ask if they did anything to address your prolactin? My clinic haven’t tested mine, I don’t often see people comment that they’ve had their’s checked, did they test your prolactin level as a matter of routine?

Hi, I have been for my nhs round in 2017, sadly it was a bfn for me that time. I’m now going back self funded & looking at ICSI hoping to start in jan/Feb. Just got to book in with the nurses. I’ve had 2 laperoscapys in between & 6 months of Chlomid prior to the operations (I have endo & blocked tubes it was discovered so the chlomid was never going to work for me in hindsite ) my only complaint really is that didn’t check my tubes before giving me the tablets however the ivf process was fine there. Parking is a bit of a nightmare so give yourself loads of time to find a space.

Hi I’m starting in January to. Was you on a long protocol or short? Sorry you had a bfn... did they say why? Parking is a nightmare we always set of earlier to get space.

Short protocol, I’m a poor responder, low AMH & just 2 eggs retrieved, one fertilised & was replaced at 3 days but I guess it either stopped dividing or didn’t implant. But round 1 is a learning curve...

in reply toBeebuzzybee

I think I might have a talk with my doc about the short protocol because obviously it’s not as effective..

It’s down to each individual body & how I respond rather than the short protocol not being as effective :) don’t let my results put you off. It’s very individual. I wish you the best of luck in Jan.
