Meds after BFP

So I’m currently 8 weeks now and fast running out of my meds.

I’m on progynova 4 a day, Cyclogest 2 a day and prontogest every 3 days.

What I’m unsure about is when to stop taking them? I have enough prontogest to last til January.... Cyclogest to last me for the next 3 weeks and progynova to take me through til end of November.

Spoken to my clinic who have said stop everything at 9 weeks. When did everyone else stop? Xx

I stopped between 10 and 11 weeks but would have been sooner if clinic had remembered to tell me when to stop! They said they usually stop at 9 weeks. Some clinics go longer, some stop meds as soon as BFP is confirmed.

My clinic say meds until week 11 and cut down until week 12. We've never got that far. Every clinic seems to be different!xx

Stopped progynova after first scan at 6 weeks, utrogestan gradually between weeks 9 and 10. Hope the pregnancy is going well, not too much nausea xxx

Hey, the sickness is starting to subside but it has been pretty awful. I’m just getting so nervous because my body’s obviously been so reliant on the drugs - how far gone are you? Xxx

My baby is 3 months this week :) I remember feeling much better after I stopped the progesterone. Hope the rest of it goes well and you're into the 'blooming' stage soon xxx

Hi I'm 7 weeks, my consultant has told me to keep taking until week 12. So I ordered more from fertility2u.com,which came with 48hrs

I stopped prontogest after my viability scan at 7+4. My clinic originally told me 12 weeks for everything but I spoke to the consultant after my scan and he said that’s more just for reassurance than because it’s clinically necessary and that my body would be producing far more progesterone than they could give me. I had no issues after stopping the Prontogest (my backside feels a whole lot better!) and I’m now 10+3 and cutting my cyclogest down to 1 per day with a plan to stop completely by 12 weeks xx

Hi. I asked my clinic this question today. They said your body begins to naturally produce progesterone from week 8 so all should be fine but to be on the safe side they recommended that I keep taking my pessaries (cyclogest) until week 12 xx

My overseas clinic said I needed to stop at 8 weeks, however my UK consultant said to stop at 12 weeks so I took 1/2 dose of Progynova and Utrogestan in week 11 then nothing from week 12. It was nerve wracking as I really thought i’d miscarry (the meds were like a security blanket) but I didn’t.

My clinic said to stop at 8 weeks although I allowed for another prescription for an extra week just to be sure! 😂 I'm 7 weeks 5 days today and looking forward to stopping them.

I was told to stop as soon as I got a BFP. They also said to test at 10 days after transfer because it was a 5 day blastocyst. What I didn't underatand was we had 2 put back - 1 5 day blastocyst and 1 slow mover that wasnt even a morula yet. Seemed to me that I should have given the slow mover more time before writing it off. Apparently not though (BFN after 10 days).
