IVF pregnancy and stopping meds

Hi all,

Still in disbelief that I am actually pregnant and anxiously waiting for a second scan next week to check that wee heartbeat. Pregnancy after IVF is so stressful!

Question is how and when did people stop all their drugs? I’m on lubion, progynova, and crinone. Clinics instructions are to reduce slowly from 11 weeks but they have only given me enough progynova to do me til 10.

So hard to get in contact with the clinic. I just want to see what other people’s experience is before I start the hassle of chasing them for more drugs.

Thanks

How do you plan to reduce crinone? I’m on one at night and only have enough to get me to week 6 day 5? Any suggestions how I reduce? I have no clue .... my clinic told me to stop at test day but I’m not listening 🤣

I’m on twice a day crinone. They said to go down to once a day for 4 days then alternate days for 4 days then stop. I was frozen transfer so start reducing at 11 weeks.

Hi Kseye,

First of all congrats! ❤️

I was on Progynova, lubion and cyclogest after my FET and took them until 12 weeks. I didn’t wean off them, just stopped them cold turkey at 12 weeks, my doctor said that reducing them gradually is really only to help us psychologically as the placenta has fully taken over by then xxx

Thanks so much. I know it is all an anxiety thing. Good to hear everything is fine if just stopped all together.

Yeah I think if it helps you to reduce gradually though, there is no harm in that at all. By 12 weeks, my anxiety was much better and I felt really ready to stop having to remember to take everything! 😂

It is becoming a real pain. I hope once I have my 12 week scan and see a strong heartbeat 🤞 I’ll feel ready.
