I had my first frozen embryo transfer yesterday and today I have woken up with a head cold, sore throat and cough... of course it’s not related but I’m worried that if my body is trying to fight off infection / seasonal cold bug then it will have an impact on the transfer...
I have today off but have to go back to work tomorrow. I plan to spend the day pottering about the house and relaxing on the sofa in my comfies...
any advice welcomed ladies... I just want to do what I can do that if it doesn’t work I don’t put it On Myself...does that make sense?

Plenty of ladies have had colds during the tww and it will make no difference to the outcome. Just keep your fluid intake up and take paracetamol if need be, it’s completely safe to do so. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon xx
Hi HelenJudi. Oh dear, sorry you feel poorly. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and take regular paracetamol for headache and aches and pains. Try some honey and lemon in hot water if your throat is sore and keep warm. Hope all goes well. Diane
Hello, I had my transfer in Weds and I am wiped out! I think half of it is your body playing catch up after all of the whirlwind. My doctor said all of the nutrients are in the endometrium and that is where it is settling in so the embryo is safe and well nourished. That helped me mentally as I have been so busy with work while doing this IVF and I feel really run down so found his words really reassuring. Just listen to your body and rest and drink loads of water as it helps cell development apparently. Good luck xx
I read somewhere that your body drops your immunity after transfer to help with implantation, and to encourage the body to accept the embryo because technically it is a foreign body! I've had a cold during both my 2WWs. Best of luck lovely x
