Just wondering if anyone can help. I started the long protocol back in July this year but had to stop after 2 weeks due to issues at the centre and was told the best thing to do would be start again. Haven’t come on my period yet and there is no chance that I might be pregnant so just wondering if anyone else had had experience of this or know what effect of the buserelin may have. Thanks.

Hi SL. Oh dear! Give yourself 10 days, then contact your clinic to see what they want you to do. It’s a common problem, so try not to worry too much. Diane
Thanks Diane. I don’t really understand how it works in terms of your body resetting. Should my cycle go back to normal or does it depend on when you had a bleed after starting the buserelin? Thank you for replying. Appreciate your help.
Hi. Because your hormones have been regulated artificially, it can take a little time for your pituitary gland to settle back down to what is normal for you. Try drinking extra water too, sometimes helps. Diane
I’ve had the same problem, my cycle was cancelled as had poor response. I’m still struggling with the hot flushes and night sweats. It’s been 10 days since I stopped it. Just wondering how you got on and if everything back to normal with you?
