Meriofert & Lubion

Hi again all you lovely ladies (and gents), I've been a bit quiet recently as I've been preparing for my DS cycle as a single person - scary!

Just a quick question as I've always used injection pens and not heard of Meriofert before. My drugs came last week and the consultant (new clinic) has put me on Meriofert & Lubion, it all looks very daunting as I have 48 Meriofert and 42 Lubion (and many different needles). Has anyone else used these, any tips and do I use them together - the clinic haven't advised me of anything yet, I am hoping they show me when I go for my scan when AF starts, hopefully within the next few days.

Thanks in advance xx

I have never used Meriofert but I've been on lubion for a few weeks now. It gives me headaches but I can't stop it till I'm 12weeks. I used to use the 1&half needle but since I'm travelling for work and DH won't be there to help with it, I've decided to use my menopur needles which would be easy on me to do myself for the next 4weeks.

I promise you it's not as daunting as it looks, you'll always find a way that suits you to get it done, all the best x

Congratulations! I didn’t even know you could use different needles!

Argh the headaches sucks but if it’s helping with that miracle it’ll be worth it xx

Hi, I was on Meriofert during my stimming and it was totally fine. A bit more fiddly than the gonal-f pen but there are useful videos online which really helped. I used this one. pharmasure.co.uk/video-guid...

I'm slightly confused as to why you'd be given Lubion during stimming? Isn't that progesterone in oil? I'm meant to start Lubion a few days after my FET (got my first one next cycle)...maybe double check?

Thank you so much for the link, that’s really helpful.

I’m confused too, most definitely check when I go for my scan!

Thanks again for your help xx

Hey! This is the second time I’ve used meriofert. Honestly it’s not as daunting as it seems. I watched the pharmasure video that’s guided with it but I honestly found YouTube videos so helpful as they seem to be a bit relatable.

Tips I’ve found (some only on a personal basis)

- NEVERRRRRR inject with the mixing needle. This is always the bigger one.

- inject at a right angle

- rub the area for around few minutes after

- know your injection sites

Good luck lovely and you’re an inspiration! I’m sure you have a good set of supportive family and family and this network is brilliant xx
