Meriofert injections

I'm only on my second evening of injecting Meriofert, but I feel like I'm getting it all wrong! There's such a tiny amount of liquid and I seem to be losing loads of it when I move it between the vials AND when I inject it. Worried I'm not getting enough in. Has anyone else had issues with this? Did it still work?

LCharlton before you snap the top off one of the liquid vials, do you make sure the liquid is all in the bottom? The nurse told me to slide it hard across the table before trying to snap the top off, to make sure it isn't hiding in that top part of the little vial. Does that make any sense??🤔

Yes it does make sense - that's a really good tip, they didn't mention it to me.

I also found it really hard with meriofert not to suck up air when drawing up from the little meriofert-containing vials... just meant I had to keep expelling the air before introducing it all to the next little meriofert powder vial. Such a faff but you'll soon get the hang of it 👍😘

Yessss exactly! Tons of air and I feel like while trying to get rid of it I lose drops of medication. Hoping I'll get better at this as I go!

One thing that helped there... when you expel all the solution into the meriofert-containing bottle, keep the syringe plunger down as far as it will go. Then invert the little bottle and lower the needle tip till it's below the fluid line. Only then start to release the syringe plunger. That helped me get less air! X

Make sure all the liquid is in the bottom before you snap it, my first couple I didn’t realise. Just give it a shake downwards. I did 3 vials to 1 powder n got the hang of it after a few days! Good luck x
