Hi, i was diagnosed with pid in february. Ive had one round of antibiotics, but ive been so ill with it the last week im sure its back. Hoping i can get back into my drs tomorrow and they will give me more antibiotics. Has anyone else had trouble getting rid of the infection?

Hi, sorry to hear this. It is so painful. I had this when I was a teenage and it also kept reoccurring. I use to end up on IV antibiotics in hospital. I moved to Germany for a few years and they treated me out there and touch wood I’ve never suffered since. Not sure what they did different. They did remove scarring. I think it’s all about having the right antibiotics. Good luck. I hope they get on top of it for you soon. If your GP can’t then a referral to a specialist might help xx

Thankyou so much for replying. Mine isnt so much pain but im so ill and fatigued and feel like i have a virus with it. I get cramps but i try to eat an antiinflammitory diet which helps a lot with that. Pleased to hear you are ok now 👍. Fingers crossed gp can sort it as supposed to start ivf next month! Xx

Yes they need to get on top of it for you. Has this been a cause of your fertility problems? Xx

Yes, i had my daughter naturally at 34, but not luck since and im 40 now. Thought it was cuz of endometriosis but its not its the pid i didnt even know i had. Its damaged my tubes over time. They said i could get pregnant but would be very hard and also the high risk of eptopic xx

Well i hope your luck changes. I asked how the hell did i manage to have my daughter and was just told it gets worse with age. We waited 2 and a half years and had one extremely early misscarriage and nothing since so ive not got time to waste now which is why we are going to try ivf. It really is a rollercoaster of ups and downs! Xx

Sorry it was so long ago I don’t really remember. I think a lot of my pain was from scarring and it was most painful when I walked. X

Thankyou me too. We are due to book in for our consultation for july, we have to pay for it all so we’ve sorted the funding out and as soon as its in the bank ill ring and book. We have visited the hospital already they said we may have a 2 week wait. So i just hope the drs can sort me out asap!xx

Just an update incase this helps anyone else in this situation. I rang my dr this morning because of my pid flare up, she was useless and told me it couldnt possibly be that as i dont have an active chlamidya infection. Basically said all i can do is take painkillers, even though the pain isnt the issue its how ill it makes me which affects my daily life. So, back to serrapeptase. When i took this for my condition before when i thought it was just endo i was dealing with i felt great. Its expensive to keep up so i stopped but hey, if drs wont help then its worth it. So just incase anyone else with this cant get help, try serrapeptase. If you live in other parts of europe or asia it is used by medical professionals all the time. Unfortunately nothing like that here in the uk.

Hi, no im not in pain all the time, i have a lot of pain during ovulation and period but thats due to my endonetriosis. I think the second lot if of antibiotics has worked. Are you suffering with it?
